I watched most of the Bristol race with two Robert Yates Racing fans, my cousins Bobby and David. They hate Jeff Gordon, so even though I was happy for Gordon for winning, I kept it to myself less I face the wrath of the Buyarski brothers. What a great race! I just loved the interviews after the crashes. I mean, c'mon. Have you ever seen a race at Bristol? Everyone crashes! Get over it. My favorite part was after Ward Burton was spun out by Junior when he waited at the side of the track until the 8 car came around under caution and then threw his heat shileds at Junior, only to have them bounce off of the driver's netting. When he was interviewed afterwards and asked about the throwing incident, he said, "I wish I had something to shoot through there." Yipes! I think the law frowns on stuff like that!
I don't know what happened in Michigan. I was watching the PGA Championship.
I DO know that there is a battle in the Neck division! One point separates third and fourth, and the third place winner is going to be the wild card in the playoffs, so with six races to go before then, it's nail-biting time.
Sharon dropped Jimmy Spencer before the Brisot
race and picked up Dave Blaney.
