Race 36
Ford 400
Homestead-Miami Speedway
November 17, 2002

Kurt Busch (left) went CRAZY during the playoffs, winning three of the six races, and coming in 3rd, 6th and 12th in the other three.  That was good enough for a third place finish (out of five!) for Todd, who picked him in the third round.  Tony Stewart was the first place finisher for the season and fourth in playoff points.

Below is a table showing the playoff point totals for all the drivers on rosters in the playoffs, as well as the others who weren’t picked who finished between them.  It makes Todd’s pick of Mark Martin with the first pick look not-so-crazy.  His first and third picks were right on the money.  Unfortunately, rounds two and four counted, too.  I was hoping for more drama with the playoffs, but Tristan kind of put it away after the first race.  I like the idea, though, and we’ll keep it for next year.

Thanks to everyone for playing.  We’ll get together after the holiday to settle up.  Have a happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
