2002–Made his professional debut with Single-A Eugene, leading the club in hits (70), total bases (116), RBI (43), runs scored (44) and at-bats (261)...tied for 3rd among Northwest League leaders in RBI while ranking 4th in extra-base hits (27)...drove in a career-best 5 runs in an 11-3 win August 3 at Spokane...earned Northwest League Player of the Week honors for August 5-11, going 14-for-27 (.519) with 4 RBI and 9 runs.

Burgamy and Tetuan Earn Top Player Awards at MVC Baseball Tournament Banquet

Wichita State's junior duo of Brian Burgamy (left) and John Tetuan (right) pose for a picture upon receiving the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) "Player-of-the-Year," and "Pitcher-of-the-Year," awards respectively, Tues., May 21. The pair also was named to the all-Valley first team at the MVC baseball tournament banquet held at the Holiday Inn Select in Wichita.

2002 JUNIOR Played summer ball for Bourne (Mass.) in the Cape Cod League.

2001 SOPHOMORE Played in 61 games and started all of them, including 47 at third base, four at second base, four in left field, three as designated hitter, two in center field and one at shortstop...Hit .353 with 50 runs, 85 hits, 23 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 47 RBI and 15 stolen bases...Had 28 multiple hit games and 12 multiple RBI games...Had an eight-game hitting streak from April 10-18...Had eightthree-hit games and two four-hit games...Went 4-for-4 with a run and an RBI against Long Beach State on March 9...Went 2-for-4 with a run, five RBI, a double and a home run against Nebraska on March 20...Went 4-for-5 with a run, two RBI and a home run against Kansas on April 18...Led The Valley indoubles and hits...Named to the all-Valley second team atthird base.
