魯 爾
魯爾1977年6月27日出生於馬德里小鎮馬魯哥尼,父親是一名電器技工。
童年時代的他由於家境清貧,大部份時間都只能利用一個足球來消磨時
間。魯爾自幼便立志要成為一位出色的足球員。由於擁有足球天份加
上後天的努力,他終能夢想成真,成為了一名閃爍耀眼的球星。
與靚女胡混,沉溺在馬德里的夜生活當中。97年杪98年初,傳聞一直
咬緊他不放
剎那間,新聞的焦點從球場移往娛樂場所,實在令人吃驚。
回望以前,他坦承該段時間是其最不得意的日子。當時盤骨有傷,仍然勉
強出賽,當然踢得一團糟,但報界的矛頭卻從四方八面衝來,當中加入一沉
百踩的更包括他自以為的好友。這些經歷,令他看清誰才是知心友,對加
速個人的成熟有莫大裨益。
經過一季低潮後,痛定思痛的魯爾,在98-99年度捲土重來,並奠定其新一
代西班牙神射手的地位。98年度的歐聯錦標,國內聯賽神射手獎及洲際
盃冠軍,都是他浪子回頭後,與隊友以血汗換取回來的美好結果。
1999年7月1日,魯爾與Mamen Sanz結婚,並於2000年2月25日誕下他們的
結晶品Jorge。這位愛家的男人,每次入球後,都親吻無名指上的婚介,已是
慶祝入球的指定動作。魯爾喜與家人分享成功的每一分每一秒,每次出外
作賽後,必急於回家,可想而知,在Euro2000期間,他的「思家病」是很難捱
的啊！
縱在歐洲國家盃,對法國一役中,飛踢點球,重重地打擊了他,並流下英雄淚,
但在球迷,球會及隊友的支持下,對此事早已釋然。魯爾並謂：「就算你踢
得再好,亦非世界最好,同樣,若論差勁,最差的亦非是你,只要讓球迷看見
你曾付出努力及犧牲,已有所交代。」
魯爾是球場的創造者,球品甚佳,多年的足球生涯中,只領過14張黃牌,從未
判罰停賽,實在是難能可貴。魯爾踢波風格靈巧多變,可自己衝鋒陷陣,亦
可作雙箭頭之後上殺手,擔任輸送或引開對手注意,當然,亦可夥拍任何一
位前鋒攻堅。至於弱點,他坦言甚多,如右腳不甚靈活,頭球欠佳,主射點球
及自由球,都是他要勤練習的項目。
足球帶給魯爾豐厚的財富,但金錢並沒有令他的奮鬥心減滅,他經常對人
說：「昨日的光榮對明日的賽事是沒有任何幫助,若不努力為眼前的目標
奮鬥,最終你只會在場邊虛渡你的光陰。」
現在的魯爾,被隊友視為場上的精神領袖,場外是個好丈夫,好爸爸,傑出的
運動員,健康的形象,深入民心。這一切都是得來不易,希望他能好好珍惜,
並能帶領皇家瑪德里及國家隊,爭取更好的成績。

Raúl
was born and grow up in Colonia Marconi, of San Cristóbal de Los Ángeles
(Madrid). His family was a great fan of Atlético de Madrid. Raúl
never lost a single match of his favourite white and red team. He has two
brothers and sisters, Pedro and María Luisa, both of them older than him.
Maradona was his idol until he was 12 years old. Then he changed Maradona for
Roberto Baggio. He also looked up to Míchel, Butragueño y Hugo Sánchez
from Real Madrid team. From the Atlético de Madrid he looked up to Futre,
and many times he went to see how the white and red team was training, to see
his favourite Portuguese player. He started to play in the youngest categories
of the San Cristóbal de Los Ángeles. Then, he changed to the cadet
category of the Atlético de Madrid team (when he was 12 years old).
When
Jesús Gil decided to suppress the youngest categories of the white and
red club (Atlético de Madrid) he went to the Real Madrid club, on July
the first, in 1992. He scored 65 goals in one single season with the Atlético
de Madrid and he even scored 8 goals in a single match.
In 1992, he became the Children's Spain Champion with the Atlético de
Madrid, the
same day that the first team of the club won the Copa del Rey
against the Real Madrid's team. He played in the First Division with the Real
Madrid team, on October the 29th, in 1994, when he was 17 years old, in the
Romareda Satdium against the Zaragoza team (3-2). He is the youngest player ever
made his debut with the Real Madrid (17 years old). He scored his first goal
with the Real Madrid after Michael Laudrup passed him the ball. He dedicated his
first goal to Dani, nowadays playing in the F.C. Barcelona.
At the end of 1996 he broke his relation with Fermín Gutierrez, the man who discovered his talent as a football player. He made his debut as an absolute International player in 1997, on October the 9th, against Czechoslovakia (0-0). When he was only 19 years old he was nominated for the Gold Ball that the France Football magazine gives as an award.
He is married to Mamen. They have a child (Jorge) who was
born on February the 25th of the year 2000, in Madrid. He wore a T-shirt with
his son picture at the Champions League
Final
match, whom he dedicated the goal he scored. His main mania is to put on first
the left boot and after this, the right one. His favourite perfume is Aqua de
Gio; his favourite food, rice with tomato sauce; and his favourite dessert,
pudding with cream. In the year 2.000 he has made more than 80.000 Km because
of the Real Madrid trips and the Spanish Federation. In June he resign his
contract with the Real Madrid club, getting around 1.000 millions PTAs each
season, until the 2005 season. His contract expires in 2.005, and has a 30.000
million PTAs cancellation clause.
In the Euro Cup 2.000 he failed a penalty against France. To
score that penalty could
probably
had supposed a deferment. Raúl cried for this goal in the
field, in the dressing room, and in the hotel. The following day he said "
I still have a lot of penalties to shoot, lots of the to score and lots to
fail". But it's clear that penalties are not his strongest shoots. In the
1999/2000 season, he failed 3 of 6, including the France one. On March the 9th,
in 2001, he was penalised by the UEFA because he scored one goal with the hand
against the Leeds United, in the Champions League. It was the first time
something like this happened, and the first time for Raúl, after have
played 481 matches.
It
has been said about Raúl:

goal; it's the football essence. Figo and himself are two great players;
everytime they do something, you stand up over your seat". Franz
