Even though I personally knew no one injured or killed in these attacks, I feel as though one of my own blood has died; and in fact it's true. I think of America as a big family. We are all brothers and sisters in this game of life. We need to come together as a family and help our siblings out. On Tuesday, when this happened, I was in complete shock. It didn't really sink in that this had happened until I saw pictures of loved ones missing in the rubble. Wives, husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, family members, friends, holding photographs of people lost in the attacks. Crying uncontrolably, some not able to talk; held up these precious memories of the ones missing or killed. Perfect strangers, holding one another, crying in each other's arms- UNITY.
It pisses me off that America needed these terrorist attacks to wake us up about togetherness and security. It opened up my eyes completely, and hopefully others'. Hopefully.
