Outing Report
By: Paul Berns

The second outing of the year took place on the 24th March at Balcarrick Golf Club in Donabate. 24 members braved the elements for a pretty early start, considering that the “2nd final fling” was on the night before.

What greeted us on arrival was the shocking news that the golf club were not allowing trolleys to be used on the course that day and that we would have to carry our golf bags around the course.

All that could be seen in the car park was people frantically emptying there golf bags of any unwanted items that could weight them down. Rain gear, umbrellas, half of our irons were left in car boots, some people even took a chance and only brought 2 or 3 golf balls (they obviously didn’t know how much water was on the course). A certain person even cried off sick with an alleged “bad back” (typical Thermo King worker).

Here Is A List Of Some Items Which People Had Alledgedly Taken Out Of Their Golf Bags Deeming Them To Be of No Use.
Paul Berns. His Golf Clubs
Martin Downey. The Full 1999 Subscription Of Playboy.
James Daly. Mick Mullen.
Des O'Donnell. An 18hr Girdle.
Paul Robinson. Two 300g Tubs Of Brylcreem.
Willie Moran. A Pair Of Golf Shoes (Remember Wicklow).
John Scott. Golf Balls (The Course Is A Much Safer Place For All When He Doesn't Use Them.
