Hackett flies solo
By AMANDA LULHAM
FORMER world champion Nicole Hackett hopes
``three good nights sleep'' will reap her a breakthrough result -- and a spot
at this year's world championships -- at the World Cup triathlon in Ishigaki,
Japan, today.
For the first time since giving birth to son Joel in late 2003, Hackett has
travelled to a race alone.
``It's weird but I think it will also help,'' Hackett said.
``I'll be able to get three good nights sleep and concentrate completely on the
race.
``I just need a decent race and I think I can get a spot in the world
championship team. I'm hoping a top five will do it.'' Hackett will join
Loretta Harrop in the women's field, with Queensland's Courtney Atkinson a
contender in the men's race.
