Biggest movement this week was by Stuart, who bagged four this week! Good performance for someone who usually scores about 4 in a season! Another double from Vinny ensures its tight at the top. Small moves made by Alex, Chris and Dave, with one each, leaving Tom firing blanks again, not for the first time!!

What a stinker!! First game of the season and already one defeat chalked up! The game was all going to plan, after the team had established a considerable lead, and looked to pull away from the struggling opposition. Highlights were two spectacular strikes from Vinny from half way. Not only did they go in, they even left the ground! Not bad for an old boy. David didn't dissappoint either, with a volley from just in the opposition half. Chris Hunter also finished a good team move in style, and Nick tried his best to miss a penalty, but to no avail. Unfortunately, too many squandered oppertunities (again) led to the opposition making a comeback, and a few late goals stole the show. The injured Alex on the sidelines considered streaking to break up the play, but realised he would not be able to run away before getting the shit kicked out of him! Probably better that way i think! More bad news followed when Nick revealed he had aggrivated a tendon injury in his return. Thats what happens when you are too eager to return, just ask Gio van Bronkhorst! Hopefully he will train hard, along with the rest of the team before next weeks clash with Sampans Milan. (We'd better or we are skrewed!) All in all a bad weekend, with the referees comment of "you had the game won, and you lost it!" still ringing in the ears!

A good response to last weeks poor start, the rigorous training of the week paid off in full. At times we even looked good!honest. The game was always in control, after an early strike from Alex, returning from injury. Vinny tried to claim it, but thats just Vinny for you. A good team performance was blessed with four great strikes from Stuart, a surprise to us all. Chris and Vinny(2) did the rest of the damage, and the fans left happy. The opposition had no reply to the quick feet and one touch passing and good team play was only marred by the odd temper tantrum from various sources, a bit pointless since we were winning!! A moment of controversy at the full time whistle saw Martyn recieving the man of the match award, an honour Stuart had his heart set on. Unlucky mate.Bollocks! All in all a good week, need to start preparing for the champions next week though! We have heard they are starving Donald for a week, to rattle his cage!
Team: Martyn, Vinny, Chris H, Dave, Tom, Alex.
Another defeat this season, but it has to be said it was expected! Last seasons champions always looked like taking this one, but were surprised by how difficult it was made. Specially after being gifted a 5-0 lead!! At this point, Vinny decided we would have been better not turning up at all. He did, however, start the fightback with his fifth of the season, and is obviously liking beign at the top of the scorers charts! 8-2 at half time, and things didn't look good, with Donald unleashing many a stinger. In the second half though, the team played a lot better, and even looked like challenging for some points towards the end. Any hopes of points were ended when Martyn took a sore one in the crown jewels, and the oppertunistic finish of the opposition!! Sore one! All in all a loss, but we won the second half, and played as well as we have in a long time. Pain of defeat was also lessened by recieving last seasons trophies, and the news that Martyn recieved player of the season for the whole league. Probably cause of our shite defending i think!
