Some Facts about the Carpenters:
- The Carpenters' 1985 roster consisted of 24 women. However, the 1983 squad had so few players that many had to play both on offense and defense.
- Mary Lohrstorfer, a player for the Grand Rapids Carpenters, was on the 1984 National Women's Football League All-Star team and was a two-time top defensive player.
- Other players on the Grand Rapids Carpenters in the mid-1980s included Lynne Dressler, a 5-foot-1, 115 pound safety, and Kathy Elenbaas, a 5-foot-3, 125 pound wide receiver and linebacker.
- The Carpenters were scored upon only twice during the 1985 season and only by the Toledo Furies, who finished second.
- One of the Carpenters' 1985 victories was by forfeit.
