Here are the rules for the 2007 NFL Double Elimination Pool. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1.
There is a $25 entry fee which goes towards the pot. There are no
administration fees, although tips are accepted. All entry fees must be
received by September 6th, opening day. You can pay with PayPal or email
me and I'll let you know where to send a check. There is a $1.06 fee to
use PayPal (it their fee, I'm just passing it on). 2. Each week you must pick 1 NFL team to win their game. This pick is strictly win/loss, with no use of point spreads. 3. Once you have picked a team, you cannot pick them again! 4. If you do pick the same team more than once, you will get a loss for that week. It is your responsibility to keep track of what teams you have already picked. 5. If you don't get your pick in by midnight before the first game of the week, you get a loss for that week. (Be careful on weeks with Thursday games!) Click here for more about this rule. 6. Ties count as a loss - you are picking a team to win, you are not picking a team to not lose. 7. Once you have 2 losses you are out of the pool. 8. Winners will be the last people still in the pool after everyone else is eliminated. 9. Payouts will depend on the number of entrants and will be announced after the start of the pool.
10. I enjoy running this pool and that's why I do it, but it's not my top priority. I will do my best to have the site updated in a timely manner, but it can be time consuming and I have a job, a family, and Jets season tickets, so if the picks don't get posted until Sunday night or Monday, that's too bad. If you are going to have a problem with that this probably isn't the pool for you. 11. Any disputes will be decided by me. All decisions are final. |
