This is looking east (the open sea is directly north) from the small town of Plentzia, towards the town of Gorliz. The Little Castle outcrop is across the bay, and is just out of view in this photo. These folds are due to the fact that the Iberian/European plate boundary runs almost directly northwest/southeast through this bay, and there has been a great deal of deformation along it!
