Within the black Flysch (let me see...older than the grey flysch, but younger than the Urgonian reefs, I think!) at Armintza were these siderite layers - siderite usually forms in blobs, or so I'm told, but here it was in blobby beds between normally bedded limestones. Pretty neat looking - apparently formed due to anoxic conditions directly before cementation.
