Nick: We hear there's
going to be about 15,000 kids at some of the stops on the All That Music and More
Festival. Have you ever performed for such huge crowds before?
Nick:
I have. I'm a stand-up comic,
and I do music too, so I've done tours before. But this is a special tour because we've
never all toured together and we'll get to do our sketches in front of everybody and have
a great time.
Danny:
My band plays in New York City
for like 150 people, not too big. But I'm the spokesperson for Hepatitis B, and I've gone
to high schools and junior highs where the whole auditorium is filled with like 1800 kids,
so I've gotten a taste of it. But 15,000's a lot of people! |
Nick:
I'm ready, I hope there's
a mosh pit!
Inside
Nick:
The Festival's
taking you all over the place this summer. Are you going to be seeing more of the country
that you've ever seen before?
Josh:
I've seen a lot of the larger
cities, but a lot of the smaller ones will be new. And we're gonna collect little key
chains, or some kind of license plate memento from each state.
Inside
Nick: What are you most looking
forward to about the tour?
Danny:
There's a whole thing before the
show, with these booths and everything, and I'd love to see the kids interacting with all
of it. It's gonna be cool.
Nick:
The kids' reaction to us, that's
what I'm looking forward to. And having fun.
Inside
Nick:
And what are you
least looking forward to about the tour?
Nick:
The end of it! We want it to
keep on going.
Inside
Nick: Which performers are you
most excited about meeting?
Danny:
B*Witched.
Nick:
Tatyana! Yeah
baby!
Josh:
Oddly enough, we've met most of the
people because everyone comes on our show. But we're still excited about going to all the
cities with them.
Nick:
I don't know if they could say the same
about us, but we're excited.
Inside
Nick: Before hitting the road
with the Festival, you guys spent most of the year taping "All That." What's the
funniest thing that happened on set this season?
Josh:
When I broke the plates over my
head, that was pretty funny.
Danny:
That was so funny.
Josh:
There were these break-away plates
that I was supposed to use in a scene, but unfortunately the place shipped our prop
department the wrong plates, and they weren't break-aways, they were real ceramic plates.
And they weren't even scored -- usually they mark them with a knife a little bit to make
it easier for them to crumble. And I had to break them, and we hadn't rehearsed with the
break-aways, so we didn't know, and we were shooting it, and I knocked one over my head
and it was really painful.
Danny:
And he was like --
Josh:
"Hold, hold -- Oww -- hold."
Nick:
'Cause he was supposed to say
"Ow" after he broke it, so he said "Ow," but he said it for real.
Inside
Nick: Sounds painful! Any
other amusing anecdotes -- or injuries -- you want to share?
Nick:
Danny fell.
Danny:
It was during a Miss Piddlin sketch,
and there were peas all over the floor. And I was walking and I was trying to get away and
I slipped. And I kind of spun, and I kicked this table out. Stuff that was on the table
flew all over the place.
Nick:
Yeah you never know how slippery
peas are until they're all over you.
Danny:
And peas stink.
Nick:
Yes they do. And they're real peas.
Josh:
We want you to eat your vegetables and
do everything proper, but if you don't want to eat your peas, this "All That"
cast says we've seen enough peas to understand why.
