Time to talk about my youngest. *S* Gary was
born July 9, 1990. I had an easy pregnancy
with him but he was born with major medical
problems. *sigh* He weighed 6lbs 10oz.
Gary had a lot of "expert" docs all over the
East Coast working on his case. They all
bottom lined the same thing, he was NOT gonna
live. After a while I got tired of hearing
this and told them only God knew wether he
would live or not.
There were a few times i was ready to give
up, I was just so wore out mentally and
physically, but his pediatrician wouldn't let
me give up. She was my strength anytime I was
weak. Thank you for being there Dr. Bennett.
*hugs*
By the time he was 1½, he had three
operations. One at 11 days, one at 1 year and
the last at 1½. Through each one he showed so
much strength I never knew a baby could have.
*sniff sniff*
He has had some Karate training as well. He
can't do much in contact sports cuz of his
spine but he is so eager to do what he can. I
draw a lot of strength from both my children.
My lil nickname for Gary is Boo Bear. He is
getting to the age now where I can't say that
around anyone but family. *ggls*
Gary did me the honor of being ring bearer in
the wedding. He also looked just so handsome
in the tux. Both my boys were happy to
participate and it made the day that much
more special to me. *tears again*
Gary was hospitalized June 29, 2001. On the 30th he went into CHF and we were transferred to Chapel hill where he had a partial blood transfusion and major emergency surgery which literally "saved" his life. He will tell you himself if it wasn't for Dr. Weiner, the surgeon, he wouldn't be here today. *S*
I would like to thank the good Lord above, Dr. Weiner and all those who lifted us up in prayers during Gary's illness. All that together is what saved him and I know it. *S*
Gary.....I love ya baby!!! You will always be
Moma's Boo Bear wether ya like it or not.
*ggls* Never change, always stay as strong,
considerate, and caring of others as you are.
*hugest Moma hugs*
