"I Will Remember You" - Sarah MacLachlin
This page is dedicated to the memory of my son, Nicholas Michael , who entered the world on December 15th, 1998 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, MA at 7:35 pm, but was stillborn. He weighed 8 lb. 14 oz. and was 21 inches long. Now, that's a big baby!
Here's a picture of my sweet baby boy:
Here are Nicholas's hand & foot prints
This is a special graphic that my friend, Katy made for me using Nicholas's hand & foot print. I think she did a great job on it!
Here's another special graphic that my friend, Jeanine made for me. It's a beautiful birthstone memorial. Thanks Jeanine!!
Here's a picture of Noah's Ark that was given to me by Nicholas's Auntie Lori. Thanks Lori!!
It's hard to believe that a baby of his size was inside of me for 41 weeks. When he was born, he looked like he was sleeping, but we knew there was no life in him. Losing Nicholas to a stillbirth was THE most hardest thing in the world, especially when he was our first child & first pregnancy.
This special poem for Nicholas was written by the request of a friend. Here it is:
Here's another poem that was written for Nicholas by one of my best friends, Monica:
Here's another poem that was given to me from my friend, Maria, who's from Massachusetts:
God gave us a special spot
to preserve them in our hearts;
A forever place where all we love
lingers when we part.
Fireflies and autumn leaves,
Roses, kittens, dreams,
Icicles, sunrise, spider webs,
Mornings dew, moon beams;
Butterflies and baby birds,
Flowers that bloom in spring...
Perhaps in life God’s greatest gifts
Are blessed by Him with wings.
This is a poem that I had written for Nicholas:
Sweet little baby
So quiet and still
You lay here in
Your mommy's arms
No life, no will
I wish I could
See your eyes
But they are closed
And now we say
Our final goodbyes
Until the day
That we will see
Each other again
My angel baby
Forever you'll be

In loving memory of Nicholas Michael Johnson
born an angel on December 15th, 1998
The best part of giving birth to Nicholas was having my mother, my mother-in-law, & our minister with me & Michael in the delivery room. It was so great to have them in there to share in our joy, which was also our sorrow.
We laid Nicholas to rest on December 21st, 1998. The day was hard for me to get through, but not as bad as I was expecting it to be. We had Nicholas cremated and his ashes were placed in a beautiful white marble urn. When I saw the urn at the church, I felt a certain peace of mind come over me. At the cemetery, I had such a fixation on the urn that I didn't hear anyone talking to me, until I heard a sweet little voice telling me, "Mommy, there's no need to cry. I'm okay now." I knew then that he was safe now.
"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me." (Psalm 23)
"To our son, Nicholas....we just want you to know how much we love you! You'll always be a part of our lives & you'll live on in our hearts. We love you! Love from Mommy, Daddy, & Onyx >^..^<"
