A solar system is a sun (star) and the planets, comets and asteroids in orbit around it.
A galaxy is a grouping of billions of stars. Many, if not most of these, have their own solar systems.
The universe is an expanding "envelope" of space-time
that contains
billions of individual galaxies.
Our galaxy is about 100,000,000 times the diameter of our
solar system.
