Where were you in the 50's. That is
easy for us. Dave was born in 1950.
He can relate to this more
than I can. I wasn't born until
1958, but I love the music and the era.
I would have loved to live in the "sock hop"
era and wear the frilly full skirts
and the embroidered sweaters. Hot cars,
jukeboxes, burger bars with waitresses
on roller skates, drive in movies.
Seems like a time when romance was "romance".
So what were you doing in the 50's?
Just about everyone was tuned in to AMERICAN BANDSTAND
on their black and white televisions with host
Dick Clark. I was just a little girl so I bet
I was tuned in to Lassie, or I Love Lucy.
My parents probably were
watching The Ed Sullivan Show. But one show I do remember
quite well was THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB...M...I...C...K...E...Y
M...O...U...S...E. My favorite has
always been Annette Funicello.
I can just about remember what it was like with the
Drive In Movies, Classic Cars and Elvis Presley and the Birth of Rock and Roll.
A few more memories for you.
How about the sock hop?
Leave It To Beaver was also popular.
So was Wolfman Jack.
