How can you forget the wonderful 80's.
What were you doing? I was married and had two
children in 1985 and 1989. Dave was also married and had
4 children by this time.
As you can see by now the video games were a hit.
The PacMan machines could be found EVERYWHERE.
The only time I could master these little guys
is after having a few drinks which wasn't often.
The Rubik Cube was popular. Big Wheels. Every kid on the
block had one including mine.
Also popular with the kids were Atari's, Etch a Sketch, Smurfs, Care Bears, Garfield, Cabbage Patch Kids, Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake to name a few.
The fads...there were a few. Jeans were popular as always,
slouch socks, eating at fast food restaurants and
break dancing.
Music wise. I was still listening to The Osmonds,
Blondie, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper,
The Cars to name a few.
On Television, Punky Brewster, The Facts of Life,
Alf, Alice, Cheers, Dukes of Hazzard,
Moonlighting, Highway To Heaven, Knight Rider, Dynasty,
Hill Street Blues. The movies Star Wars and Back to
the future.
