THIS IS LONDON

London is the first place we lived when
I arrived in the United Kingdom.
We didn't stay here long
as it was not the life for me as born
and raised in much smaller places.
It was also difficult adapting to having no friends
and it was not a good thing to live in a home
where your soon to be husband lived with his
soon to be ex-wife either.

This picture is where Dave worked - The Home Office

This picture is of swans at the Queen's Garden.
The black swan is a gift to the Queen
from Australia.

These are pelican's that are frequent
visitors to the Queen's Garden. They were
gifts to the queen and are very well kept
and fed in the garden.

This is a picture of the gate of Prime Minister
Tony Blair's residence on Downing Street.
This is a horse guard sitting at the gate at Christmas time.

THE EYE. We went on this Summer 2001 when my son
Brandon came over for a month. It is so neat
can't even tell you are moving. The view
is totally breathtaking.

These pictures are of Tower Bridge.
It is a beautiful bridge. A lovely tribute to England.

These are pictures of Big Ben.
Bet you didn't know that Big Ben
is actually the clock itself
and not the entire building. I didn't.

This is a picture of Harrod's. A very
famous shopping place, but very very
expensive. The owner is Mohammed Al Fayed
father of Dodi Fayed who was killed in Paris
with Princess Diana

This is the Millenium Dome

A picture of Hyde Park. A fountain in the Memory
of Princess Diana has been constructed but
I've yet to go back since then. The fountain
had been shut down for safety reasons shortly after
construction.

The famous Oxford Street. I have had the great pleasure
of walking down this famous street on Christmas
Eve although it was raining as it is a lot that time of the year.
