For You My Friend
Altough I may never meet you
We're like images that fade in the light
You only show what you want me to know
The rest you keep hidden from sight
Over time we talk ,we laugh,and we share
And those barriers fall dim and receed
Now theres no longer pretend
for you've found a true friend
I'll be here whenever you need
We'll share the struggle and face all
those dark days ahead
We'll share the laughter and tears
all again
Just lean on me, whenever you need
I'll carry you through, My Friend

a real true friend
What would I do
For my choice can
Only be

For friendship

Parts of ourselves
Nobody else knows.
But the thing that sustains it
And sets it apart,
Is not something spoken
It's a bond of the heart.
True friends are rare
In a lifetime two or three,
I'm so glad it happened
Between you and me!

I can't give solutions
to all lifes problems, doubts or fears,
But, I can listen to you
and together we will look for answers
I can't change your past,
with all its heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now
when you need me to care.
I can't keep your
feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand
That you may grasp it and may not fall.
Your joys,
Triumphs, successes,
and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.
Your decisions in life
are not mine to make,
nor to judge;
I can only support you,
encourage you,
and help you when you ask.
I can't prevent you from
falling away from friendship
from your values
from me.
I can only pray for you,
Talk to you, and wait for you.
I can't give you boundries
which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change,
room to grow, room to be yourself.
I can't keep your heart
from breaking and hurting,
but I can cry with you
and help you pick up
the pieces and put them
back in place
I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you
and be your friend,

And the nicest of all the gifts you give
is the time you take for others...
to listen or talk, to smile and understand,
to lend a hand or just be there...
There aren't very many people
as genuinely nice as you are.
