DOMAINE DU MENHIR

Appellation:  Coteaux du Languedoc Rouge

Region:        This dry region is located south-west of 
                   Cazouls and is perfectly adapted for the
                   production of the generous Coteaux de
                   Languedoc wines. The chalky soils give these
                   wines much strength with an outstanding
                   nose.

Cepage:       The wines of Domaine du Menhir are hand
                   selected from only the highest quality Syrah
                   and Black Grenache grapes. 

Production:  Traditional vinification at the estate with a 
                   slow and careful pressing, carbonic
                   maceration for the Syrah, long maceration for
                   the Black Grenache followed by a maturation 
                   in oak barrels. This wine has a fine balance of
                   fruit with distingushed tannin structure.

Tasting:       Dom. du Menhir will partner perfectly with
                   white meat dises and medium cheeses. It
                   should be served at between 56 - 58 degrees.
