Foncalieu, France has decided that in order to properly service the needs of their customers in the United States it would be necessary to create a direct marketing company. With that in mind, "The Vineyards of Foncalieu USA" has been created in the United States by Paul Davis who will be working directly with M. Ralph Ernst and M. Philippe Moga in this endeavor.

Foncalieu combines the old fashioned way of cultivating the vineyards with many modern techniques of vinification. Although Foncalieu is one of the most modern facilities in Europe, they managed to blend the tried and true traditional methods of wine making with modern techniques to produce the finest wines available from this area of France.

Foncalieu, France has with its partners developed three very distinctive marques all of which should be very interesting to the American wine buyer.

Montagne Noire Average retail price $ 5.99 to       $ 6.99 per bottle

Varietal wines originally vinified by a  well known wine maker from Australia. Today it is being made by our own wine maker using the same methods of vinification. Two very unique "split varietals wines are available in this range: Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot; Sauvignon Blanc /Grenache Blanc

Oppidum Average retail price $ 7.99 to $ 8.99 per bottle

Varietal wines from Enserune, the home of France's famous Oppidum (see history on the Oppidum page). Produced by Les Vignerons du Pays d'Enserune in the oldest wine producing region in France. Wines from Enserune are in the Mediterranean style and are now just being introduced in the United States.

Puycheric - Average retail price $ 9.99 to $ 10.99 per bottle

Without question these are easily the finest wines found in the Midi. Excelence du Puicheric is an estate bottled red wine that is made exclusively from Merlot and Cabernet and aged in new French Oak. The entire vendange for this wine is done by hand. The varietal wines are as is their sister all aged in new oak and vinified with the utmost care. These wines are very limited in quantity and should be enjoyed during special occasions.
