Heaven In Nick's Eyes

Interviews
Interview With Nick 1998

Q. We've heard rumours you've been on secret recording missions to England, is this true?

A. No! Not me. AJ and Kevin have been recording and producing in London. They came, stayed for a few days and flew out again. I would have loved to have been with them, but I was recording songs in Orlando and Los Angeles.

Q. What are you all recording songs for?

A. Our new album. We're working on it until Christmas and it's going to be great. It's a really good album - believe me, you'll love it.

Q. Have you recorded your duet with Aaron yet?

A. I can't say, cos we've decided to keep it top secret. What I can say is that I was in a recording studio in Los Angeles and so was he!

Q. Aaron hasn't released a single for ages. Where is he?

A. He's working on a new album. He wants to come back in February but it's important that he's happy with what he's doing.

Q. You were recently honoured by your hometown of Orlando for being such superstars. How did that feel?

A. Cool. Really, really cool. We were given the keys to the city. They're actually huge keys so we couldn't actually open any doors with them! It's more of a symbolic thing, you know. It means we are officially important!

Q. Do you go to all the theme parks when you're back home in Orlando?

A. We used to go. But recently we've been too busy. I actually live near Tampa, which is about three hours from Orlando, so it's not easy. But I would like to go back to the parks - I want to go on the Space Mountain ride, it's meant to be really cool. When I was little I was scared by rides like the ghost train, but not now. Now I'll go on anything!

Q. Would you take a girl on a date to a Disney Park?

A. Mmm, maybe. But it's not very original is it? I would get recognised by all the people and that would be really embarrassing for her, right? I'd take her to this beach near where I live and have a picnic, that's much better!

Q. You're a right old softy, aren't you?

A. Yep, I guess you could say that! My mom taught me to treat people right and that means everyone. I think you should always be polite. I think I'm really considerate.

Q. Have you got a girlfriend?

A. I have had, but not at the moment. You have to understand how busy we are. It's crazy right now. I'm really looking forward to Christmas because then we can relax. After that we start work on a new tour to promote the album. The tour will be massive and we're going to go all over the world. I can't wait!
