The water runs,
Like a loud melody,
One foot in,
One foot out,
Hearing all those hurtful words,
Coming back to haunt me,
And all those painful memories,
Re-playing in my mind,
Telling myself,
'It's just not worth it anymore'
And feeling like,
I just don't belong,
Hating myself,
For what I'm worth,
Thinking all of this,
As I slip in the tub,
Finding a razor,
Shaking,
As I put it to my wrist,
But barely seeing,
Through the many tears,
Pushing down,
With the pain rushing through,
But suddenly,
I hear,
'Although loneliness has been a friend of mine',
And,
For some reason,
I stop in my tracks,
And listen...

Something inside me,
Or maybe in the sweet music,
Wouldn't have me dead,
And to this day,
The only people to thank,
Are the Boys,
You know who you are,
