Forget Me Not

Chapter 31

Julian Cheung - Sunny Lam
Vivian Leung - Allison Ng
Joyce Tang - Amy Yeun
Nick Cheung - himself and God
Louis Koo - Josh Lai
Jessica - Josinica aka Josie Chan

At around 2pm, Sunny and Amy announced that they had to meet Nick for an owner's meeting and they should be back at about an hour. Josie was in full suspicion as she walked over to Allie after Sunny and Amy was gone "Did you know about that?"

Allie nodded "Yeah, he told me this morning when he picked me up for work."

Josie was not going to give up just yet. "Can you watch the place for a minute? I want to take my lunch early, I'm meeting Josh..." she lied.

Allie smiled happily "Of course. Go on! Have fun." she urged her friend.

She hugged Allie gratefully "Thanks." she rushed out the door and spotted Sunny and Amy within the crowd. Every so often Sunny would turn around to make sure no one was following him. Josie was quick to respond each time as she hid behind people and objects.

She eventually followed them to a jewelry store. She stood by the window and peeked in, she saw Amy try on rings while Sunny looked at how it appeared on her hand. He shook his head at a few but kept some to the side.

Inside Sunny was taking his time in choosing the perfect proposal ring for Allie "I like this one." he pointed to a beautifully crafted diamond ring in a platinum band. Amy nodded in approval "Thank you so much for helping me Amy. Your hands is the same size as Allie's." he commented.

She smiled "I'm glad to help. Plus I feel special being the first to know." She picked up one of her favorite styles "How about this one?" she placed it over her finger and showed it to him.

Sunny had a thoughtful expression "Hmm, I don't like the cut on that one." he picked up the squared shape design "I really like this one." he put it on her and smiled in approval "This is it!" he cried happily. In the mist of the excitement, he reached over and hugged Amy. At the corner of his eyes he caught a shadow standing still by the clear windows of the store. He looked over and found Josie gaping at him in shock.

She no longer tried to hide herself as she barged into the store "How could you do that to Allie? This is what you call a meeting?" she growled "Picking out rings for her?" she said in disgust, still not completely over the fact that he was so fond of Amy.

Sunny rubbed his forehead in frustration "Amy, can you explain, I don't want to punch a girl."

Amy laughed with her head shaking "I have the same size hands as Allie." she pulled up her hand and showed Josie the ring "He's going to propose...tonight!" she added with excitement.

Josie's face brightened "Oh my gosh!!! You're kidding!!" she cried happily as she grabbed Sunny and pulled him to his feet. She squeezed him tightly "OH my gosh!!!" She continued to scream in his ear as she bounced up and down.

He squirmed away from her "Sheesh, you're like some kind of leech!" he rolled his eyes "I'm not an ungrateful, unloyal, cheating boyfriend now?" he asked with sarcasm.

Josie frowned as she whacked him straight across the shoulder "You're the one to talk! I'm your best friend, you're suppose to ask me for help! Why can't I pick out the ring for you?"

He crossed his arm before rubbing his shoulder where she hit him roughly "First of all, you have a big mouth, you'd blab it to the world before I even got on my knees to ask. Two, your big knuckles are not anything close to Allie's delicate hands." he pointed to Amy's hands "See, that's what girls' hands are suppose to look like."

She wrinkled her nose at him "Well, you should have told me. I'd keep the secret." he snickered while she defended herself "I would have!"

He nodded unconvincingly "Yeah, yeah...I believe you, Josie." he sat back down and handed the ring to the sales girl "I'll take this one." he turned to the pouting Josie "Don't you dare say anything!" he pointed threateningly at her.

Josie rolled her eyes like a ten year old "What do you take me for? An uncontrollable gossip?" he nodded while Amy muffled a laugh "Well, you're wrong." like the weather, her mood quickly change as she smiled "Where are you doing it? What time? How are you gonna do it?"

He ruffled his eyebrows "You think I'm gonna tell you after you almost attacked Amy?" he shook his head "No." he said firmly. The three returned after an hour, Sunny made special reservations for a restaurant overlooking the city that very night where he would propose. He wanted that night to be perfect.

Josie was in a happier mood when she returned and Allie mistook it for her lunch date with Josh "Had a nice lunch?" she teased when Josie could not stop smiling.

Her friend grinned even wider "Yeah...something like that." she said almost mysteriously. But Allie did not catch it.

Another half an hour passed by when Sunny approached her and took the towel from her hand during her clean up "Let's go." he said.

Allie looked at him strangely "It's only 4pm?"

He laughed "You don't know what today is huh?"

She seemed to be deep in thought but still could not think of anything special about that day until her face flashed brightly "Three months..." she laughed "I'm so bad at remembering stuff." she said.

Sunny nodded "You are." he teased. He took her hand "Let's go, I already asked Josh to come by and help. Nick might drop by later tonight after his early shoot."

Allie smiled "You have something planned don't you? Let me guess?" she clasped her hand with his as she brought it up to her chin "Dinner and dancing?"

He laughed "You read my mind." the two walked out of the restaurant smiling as they chatted away. "Let's walk home." he suggested. "It's not that far."

Allie nodded "Sure, we have plenty of time right?" he smiled in return "Yeah, I think I better freshen up, I always feel so sticky after a day of work."

He smiled as they dodged the crowd coming towards them, he wrapped an arm around her "You want to take some time off?" he asked casually.

"Hmm...maybe, depends if you're going with me." she teased.

He nodded "I can make some arrangements. I am the boss."

They continued down the street and he heard the sirens from a distance, they were police cars. The two stopped like many others did as they listened and looked around to see where the sirens were coming from. In a swift moment, a regular car sped by and at the same time, Allie felt someone bump her roughly. She stared at the stranger and he continued on, the obvious car chase was not intriguing to him.

Suddenly a gun shot rang out and everyone ducked from the natural reaction. Only Allie clutched her chest as the quick pain shot through her body, she did not realize that she was shot until her vision began to blur. It took a while for Sunny to comprehend as he looked around and when he felt her falling backwards, his eyes widened in horror. His reaction was to catch her as he did while her head was inches from the cement "Allie..." he whispered.

Her eyes fluttered and a rush of pain crossed over her face, the world seemed to slow down for them as he did not pay attention to what was going on except his beloved being shot in the chest. Her blood spilled all over his clothes while he clutched her fragile body close. "Sun..Sunny..." her voice was scratchy. She was in shock.

"Allie!!" he cried after the realization hit him. He was losing her. He looked around frantically, trying to find help. He felt her hand reach for his face, only then did he returned his gaze at her. His eyes collecting the tears as they began to fall like rain on her wet cheeks. She too was crying. "Don't leave me." he whispered as he grabbed her hand on his face. Her blood smeared on his own face. "Please.." he begged.

She smiled through the tears, her vision blurred completely. She knew he was there from his touch "Don't be sad..." she said calmly "Remember...my love is like the wind...you can't see it...but you feel it.." she breathed the last few words before falling limp in his arms.

He shook his head while sobbing like a child "NOOO!!!" his cries were heard from miles away. At the restaurant, Josie felt her heart skip a few beats when she heard a gun shot. Feeling uneasy, she and Josh ran out the street. A block away, she saw a huge crowd forming and the ambulance car pulled up.

The two rushed to the surrounding group as Josie pushed through to get to the center. Her heart nearly stopped at the sight she saw. She clutched her mouth to keep from screaming, her eyes filling with tears at the sight of her friend's blood coated body. Sunny was clutching onto her body for dear life while he rocked her back and forth. Josh was in total shock but he returned to reality when Josie felt lightheaded and fell straight into his arms. "Josie!" he cried.

The ambulance crew stood aside as some tried to pursuade Sunny to let go of Allie so they can take her to the hospital "Please sir, you need to move aside. We have to do our job."

He continued to sob and rock her body in his arms "Don't leave..." he was still whispering in her ear "Please...Allie..."

He fainted from the overwhelming situation and the emergency crew pulled him away and took her weak body. They placed her on the stretcher and one guy carried Sunny onto the van as they drove away to the hospital, the sirens wailing in warning.

Josh carried Josie in his arms as he rushed to the parking lot where his car was. He was completely out of breath by the time they reached the car. During the drive to the hospital, Josie woke up slowly. She looked up at Josh and then realized they were in the car. A flash of memory came into her head as she realized it was not a dream. She did see Allie bleeding to death. "If you want to cry, go ahead. It's good to let it out." Josh said quietly as he patted her on the hand.

Josie was already crying before he even said it "I hope she'll be okay..." she said with not much feeling.

"She will be. Allie's strong, she's a survivor." Josh said reassuringly. Inside he was praying that she would make it.

They got to the hospital five minutes after the ambulance had drop her off. Josh quickly parked in the full lot as they both rushed to the Emergency area. They found Sunny lying on one of the empty examination tables. There was a room full of them, the only things that separated each table was a curtain that can be pulled around the table to make a closed area. "He's over there." Josie pointed as they rushed to him. "Sunny!" she cried when she saw him lying on the table, his eyes open and staring into space. Josie was scared for her friend, she turned to the nurse "What's wrong with him?"

The nurse shook her head sadly "He's in shock. Are you two his friends?" Josie nodded "Maybe you two can help him." she left them to be with Sunny by himself.

"Don't scare me, Sunny...." Josie was the first to speak up. "Talk to me...say something!" she cried with frustration.

Josh touched her shoulder to calm her "Give him some space." he knew what Sunny needed. They stood there while Sunny continued to lie on the table, the area was silent until one of the officers was led by the nurse over to them.

"Were any of you present during the shoot?" he knew someone was from the nurse.

Josie looked at Sunny and when he didn't budge, she replied for him "Yes, he was." her tears slowly came back when she said the next line "His girlfriend was shot..." she choked back the tears.

"We caught the man that shot that fire." the officer said slowly to Sunny.

He gave a response as he sat up suddenly "Why did he shoot her?" Sunny asked finally speaking up.

"He was aiming for someone else. Apparently, he was hired to kill someone, your girlfriend was there are the wrong time and wrong place. I'm sorry." he said with sincerity.

Sunny snorted with a laugh "Wrong person?..." he laughed harder but tears began to fall down his face "She's fighting for her life because someone aimed at the wrong person?!! AHH!!!" he cried while standing up and waving his arms as he pushed away the equipment and tables. They crashed to the floor like toys while the policeman and Josh tried to control Sunny. He was breaking everything he could touch. Josie stepped back, her hand over her face as she cried openly, her heart in pain for Sunny.

She felt the nurse rush in, her hand was holding a needle. Josie saw the nurse jab the substance into Sunny as he slowly closed his eyes "That should calm him down for a few hours. Maybe you two should stay with him until he calms down. I don't know if he'll hurt himself." the nurse said she tossed the needle away and began cleaning up the area "I've never seen anyone take it so hard." she shook her head.

"How is the girl that was shot?" Josie asked.

The nurse shook her head "I heard the gunshot was too close to her heart, the doctors are trying to remove it. But there's a 90% chance that she would not live." she was saddened to have to bring bad news.

"90%?" Josie whispered while Josh hugged her dearly. She wept for the third time that day.

**************

It felt like she was sleeping for ages. Allie opened her eyes and found her surroundings to be only white. It looked like a dream, she touched her chest and remembered that she was shot. But nothing was there, she pushed herself up and looked around, there were clouds surrounding her. "Where am I?" she asked herself. She looked down and found herself in a white dress "Am I dreaming?" she said out loud.

"No..." an echoey deep voice answered her.

She stepped back into the soft clouds, her feet tickled by the soft feeling under her toes "Who is there?" she asked spinning in circles to see where she was. "Where am I?" she asked again.

"Heaven..." the same voice said.

"Heaven?" She whispered "I'm dead?" she looked around and the place was beyond her imagination. She did not feel pain neither was she scared. But her thoughts remembered clearly of one person "Sunny?"

Chapter 32

Julian Cheung - Sunny Lam
Vivian Leung - Allison Ng
Bobby Au Yeung - Steve Leung
Joyce Tang - Amy Yeun
Nick Cheung - himself and God
Louis Koo - Josh Lai
Jessica - Josinica aka Josie Chan

Allie blinked over and over trying to comprehend what the voice was saying to her. "Come my child." the voice beckoned. Inside she was confused but she felt her body being lifted uncontrollably, she floated to an area in the clouds where a tall white gate awaited for her. She looked around like a stranger and found a male figure (guess star Andy Lau) standing there waiting for her.

He nodded while holding a book like shape in his hands. He eyed her carefully "Allison Ng, this year 26 years old. Fate of death: gunshot by driveby." he said loud and clear as the gates opened up.

Allie looked like a scared puppy "Who are you?"

"Saint Peter of course!" he frowned "Don't you read your bible?" she shook her head and he rolled his eyes "I'm the guardian of the gate, I have the power to put people whereever I want." he raised an eyebrow at her and looked down towards his feet.

She smiled nervously knowing that he was indicating about hell. "So where do I go?"

"To the big guy of course!" he said a matter of factly. "Go on, he's waiting for you." he showed her the way and the gates closed after she walked through them.

"Uh...what do I call him?" Allie was not sure of how to act or what to say.

"God is mostly preferred. Or just father since he is the one that made you." St. Peter said casually. He reached an area where the sky was blue behind them while the clouds moved around, the bright light she saw far away came closer and closer until she was blinded by it. She closed her eyes and turned away.

"Allison, we finally meet." the same echoey voice she heard before.

"Are you...GOD?" she asked with much fear in her voice. She never imagined how it would be like to be in heaven. It was a strange feeling, soothing almost and definitely content.

He laughed heartedly "I'm sorry, I always forget that the souls cannot see me like this." she heard a snap of a finger and the lights simply disappeared. Allie looked up and gasp at the figure before her. God chuckled "See anyone familiar?"

"You?...Nick?" sitting on a cloud of chair before her was a complete replica of Nick Cheung. "The movie star?"

"Movie Star? He's more than a movie star, he's the funniest guy alive!" St. Peter exclaimed.

God in the form of Nick began to laugh "I loved him in 'God of Gamblers 4', wasn't he the greatest?" he said to St. Peter.

Allie shook her head "Are you sure I'm dead? This is really bazzarre." she commented. "My dreams don't get this strange."

God cleared his throat "Of course it's not a dream. You are in heaven, due to your good deeds and well lived life, you have been asked to return to me. Your suffering have stopped."

"I was suffering?" she asked.

"Everyone is suffering down there. Some more than others." he said with authority "Allison, do you know the reason why I created mankind?"

She shook her head "I would assume only you would know."

He nodded "I created humans to prove to myself that there are good and bad even when it came from an all good supernatural being. The world you live in is a mere illusion, do you notice that you see things through your eyes in a different lighting?" she thought about it and nodded "That is because I am seeing it through your eyes. I do it for everyone. The purpose of that is to understand what you are seeing and what you plan to do. Only when you close your eyes and sleep at night is when I have my rest."

She frowned "I'm still confused why I had to leave? How about Sunny?"

"The person you are referring to is meant to live a long and healthy life. He will do good and help others." he explained.

'Does that mean I will do bad?' she wondered to herself.

God read her mine as he chuckled "None of my children were meant to do bad. Everyone is born good, it is determined during the life I give them whether they want to change it or not. If it makes you feel any better, there is no such thing as 'hell'." her eyes widened "It is there to scare those that chose to lead a bad life in hopes that they will turn the other path. I will forgive them when they are ready to be taken by me."

She nodded with final understanding "That is why the good people die and the bad people are still alive, you are making them suffer by living on earth."

St. Peter smile broadly "I think she's got it." he said to God. "It's time she moved on." he was about to write something in his book when God lifted his hand.

"Ah, but the girl has more unfinished issues." he smiled when she turned to him questionly, he read her mind with ease "You want to assure yourself that Sunny will be happy without you." she nodded eagerly "He was going to propose to you that very day you were shot."

Her face turned solemn, now she wanted more than anything to see him happy. Even if it means living without her. "Can I have a request?"

"You want to come to earth and make sure he is okay?" God asked knowingly. She nodded.

"Of course not! Humans and spirits do not mix. We've had a few that have done it secretly and have been punished. They must not know this other world exist, only when they die do they believe it truly exists...." God put up a hand to silence St. Peter.

"Sunny is in pain, I can feel it." he sighed "Very well, I will grant your wish." her face brightened up "Under three conditions."

"Anything!" she said eagerly.

"You must have a reason for returning." he tapped a finger on his chin. She couldn't help but feel oddly strange calling someone God that she had known to be her friend "Your object to come to earth is to help Sunny move on with his life. He is hurting and he will try to kill himself, you must help him see his point of living. To continue without you."

She nodded firmly "I will. But what about the three conditions?"

He smiled warmly "One, no one can see you and you cannot see anyone. Two, I will send you one living soul that can help you. I cannot tell you who it is, you will know since he will be the only person you can see. Third and finally, you will not be able to return until Sunny is fully recovered and have moved on with his life. Once you agree, you cannot take it back. If you do not accomplish this mission, you will forever be comdemned to roam amongst the humans, never can you return to heaven."

Allie debated with herself but in the end she knew she wanted to help Sunny with all her heart and soul. "I promise." she said firmly.

"Great!" he laughed happily at the response "Now, due to the fact that it would tear your heart apart to see him at your funeral, most spirits cannot handle the pressure. I will speed up time for two years later."

Allie ruffled her forhead in concern "Will he forget me then?"

"If he would, why should I send you to help him?" God said with much reason. She nodded and felt stupid for asking such a dumb question "That's why they call me God." he spoke with a crooked grin that she remembered Nick threw her way when he was teasing her. "Now, go my child."

St. Peter floated in front of her with a smile "Close your eyes." She did as he said "You are only allowed to move through objects when you are meant to pass them." he felt her questioning mind "You will know when the time comes."

She nodded with her eyes close. The wooshing sound of the wind blew by her ears, she was not allowed to open it until she felt silence. When she did, her eyes opened carefully as she looked around a room, it was inside a house. She paced the room and found the large king size bed that had a folded red dragon/phoenix blanket on it. Signs of fortune hung around the room. She sat on the bed and felt the soft pillow cases which matched the blanket.

There were two bedside tables on each side, she quickly noticed a frame as she picked it up and saw Sunny's smiling face into the camera, next to him was Amy. He was marrying Amy? Or did they already got married? she asked herself.

She rushed to the curtains and opened them after hearing a car pulling up to the driveway, she noticed it was nighttime. She saw Sunny stumble out of the car and she could feel her heart thumping. He looked to be drunk as he came to the otherside and opened the door for his bride. They supported each other before reaching the front door. He quickly picked up Amy and carried her over the threshold.

Allie had to fight with herself to contain her hurting heart. She reminded herself that she was there to help Sunny, not to feel pity for herself since she should be the one he was going to carry over the threshold. Her thoughts were interrupted when Sunny and Amy barged through their room, stumbling over their own foot as they landed on the carpet laughing like kids.

Allie jumped from her seat as she backed away to the other side of the bed and she remembered that they could not see her. Her heart eased itself when she saw how happy Sunny was looking at Amy. "Thank you for marrying me." he sighed at his wife.

Amy smiled while he layed clumsily over her wedding dress "You can thank me in the morning when you're sober." she eased herself up and put out a hand to help him up "I'm gonna go change into something more comfortable." she giggled like a little girl.

Allie was in total shock, she was about to witness their special first night. She rushed to the door but it was quickly closed by Sunny. She jumped backwards and took a deep breath as she reached for the wall hoping that she could walk through it. To her dismay, it was solid as can be. "NO!" she cried. She did not want to witness their lovemaking. She slumped down against the wall while Sunny began stripping down to his boxers and undershirt. Allie crawled to the corner of the room as she burried herself against her hands.

It was hard enough to see them together but to witness their first night together, she could not handle it. And it seems she was meant to be there. She covered her ears not wanting to hear anything she did not want to hear. But something told her to look, so she looked up. She saw Amy coming out from the bathroom in a darling pink lingerie. Sunny sat on the bed with his arms wide open and Amy smiled as she jumped on the bed and sat next to him. She looked at him dearly, she knew what he was thinking "Don't be sad, she wouldn't want you to be."

Even after two years, he could not forget about Allie. Amy knew it but she was willing to give up her own sanity. Normal girls would not be able to handle their husbands constantly thinking of his dead girlfriend. "I know." Sunny sighed. He tried hard to push Allie out of his mind but she continued to haunt him. After so many days where he saw her in his dreams, he knew he could never forget her nor did he want to. But Amy was there by his side through thick and thin. She held the restaurant together when he broke down for three months. "I don't know why you agreed to marry me."

She smiled as she leaned on his chest "I don't know how to help you forget the past, but I do love you with all my heart. I feel happy just to know that you asked me to marry you."

He stroked her hair lovingly "What did I do to deserve you?"

"You're a good person, you've got a great heart. When you turned your restaurant into a food shelter for the poor, it made me fall more in love with you." Amy smiled as she hugged him warmly.

At that very moment, Allie understood God's words. Sunny was there to do good, he would be in charge of building the biggest shelter for the homeless in Hong Kong. "You deserve so much more than me." Sunny sighed sadly.

Amy sat up with a smile "One day, you will realize that you do deserve me." Suddenly her smile faded as she got off the bed "I deserve to be loved. I know you will fully love me one day. But until then, I will give you your space."

To Allie's amazement, Amy took one of the pillows and left the room to sleep in one of the other empty rooms. She saw Sunny rubbing his eyes with frustration. He had a great girl and she was more understanding than he could hope for. He reached into the bedside table and took out a shoebox. Inside was a ringbox. Allie walked closer and saw him pull out the ring he was going to use to propose to her. She couldn't help but cry as he began to sob. He missed her terribly even after so long, he could not let go.

Chapter 33

Julian Cheung - Sunny Lam
Vivian Leung - Allison Ng
Bobby Au Yeung - Steve Leung
Joyce Tang - Amy Yeun
Nick Cheung - himself and God
Louis Koo - Josh Lai
Jessica - Josinica aka Josie Chan

For weeks Allie followed Sunny around wherever he went, she soon figured out his whole day schedule. He wakes up in the morning and heads down to the shelter and manages it for a while. He gets money from sponsors who have a big heart but don't want to get involve so they just donate money. He is the current project of actually making separate rooms, although they would be tiny, it was better than nothing for those that are homeless.

She sensed that he wanted to pour his heart into the work to forget about her. Yet each time she thought he had moved on wiht his heart, he would come to her grave to talk to her. Allie was always five steps behind him, she was beginning to fee depressed since she has not met the person that can see her yet. Each time he visits her grave site, she would sit next to him and literally watch him cry.

It broke her heart to see him that way and she wanted more than anything to hug him and tell him that's she's in a safer place.

At night, he would return home and Amy constantly cooked dinner for him. They have a quiet dinner consisting of Amy talking about her day on the set. She was still working with Nick after all this time. Allie could tell Sunny was trying hard to listen to her. "She's talking to you!!" Allie would yell over and over when his attention would be on something else. She soon became frustrated at the whole situation. Amy was so patient and so loving, she wondered how he could not see it?

One day, Amy set a breakfast date with Nick since he has not seen Sunny for the longest time. "Sunny!" Amy called from the living room. "We're gonna be late, dear."

Sunny came out in a tan collared shirt and black slacks, he put on a smile that looked too fake "How is this smile? You think he can read through me?"

Amy smiled "I think anyone can read through that plastered smile."

He let out a long sigh "Well, let's get the show on the road." he took her hand as they walked out together. Allie followed them. Sunny locked up the house and walked down the driveway, he looked up and saw a huge moving van.

Allie followed his gaze "New Neighbors." she muttered.

Sunny looked at Amy "New Neighbors." he said nodding to the moving trucks. On the lawn were huge boxes sitting there waiting to be opened.

Allie watched on just like Sunny and Amy "Be careful with that!" the owner of the delicate lamps barked at the moving guys. "You wouldn't be able to buy that with half of your salary!" the guys rolled their eyes and walked past the owner.

Sunny smiled "It's Steve." he said as he and Amy walked over to say hi to their new neighbor. "Steve!" the guys shook hands. "I haven't seen you in over a year!" due to Nick's influence, Sunny had began to hang out with Steve about 1 year and a half ago. "How was California? Nick said you were on vacation."

Steve nodded "Yeah." he looked over at Amy "Congratulations, I heard you two got married."

Amy nodded with a smile "Yeah. Too bad you couldn't make it."

He sighed "Dutie calls." his eyes wandered to the girl standing a few yards from them "I'm sorry, I didn't know you guys were busy." he nodded to the girl.

Sunny and Amy followed his gaze "Yeah, we have a date with Nick." Sunny said "How did you know?"

Steve pointed to Allie "Well...she's been standing there waiting for you two..." Sunny and Amy turned back but didn't see anyone. "You don't see her?" he asked in shock.

Allie's face brigtened, finally she found the person she was looking for. She was so happy, she skipped her way over and Steve's face began to turn pale. He stepped back knowing who he was facing, Allie quickly shook her head "It's okay Steve. They can't see me..." she said.

"AHH!!" he cried as he stepped back. Sunny and Amy stared at him strangely.

"Are you okay, Steve?" Amy ask out of concern. She wondered why he looked like he's seen a ghost.

"Please, don't tell them, they're not suppose to know." Allie begged with pleading eyes. The same eyes that use to tease him so much. Steve wondered why he was able to see her.

"Uh...Nothing." he smiled "You're gonna be late for your date with Nick."

The two nodded "That's true." Sunny glanced at his watch. "Come on, Amy. I'll see you later Steve."

After the two left, Allie looked at Steve like she saw her best friend "I'm so glad to see you!!" she hugged him happily while his arms were shaking. She pulled away "What's wrong? You look like you just saw a ghost!" she kidded.

He snorted "You're telling me." he saw the moving guys give him strange looks. "Maybe we should go somewhere else..."

Allie looked at them and smiled "Sure, but to be honest, people think you're strange as it is. What's a little talking to yourself gonna do to your image?" she laughed when he dropped his jaw in shock. "Oh don't act like you're normal." she pointed to his sequined top and too tight jeans "Look at that?!"

He looked down with offense "What's wrong with it?" they began walking to his car. "Do I have to open the door for you?"

Allie nodded "Treat me like a normal person. I'll explain in a minute." he did as she said and when they began driving away Allie continued "Yes, I am dead."

Steve had a shiver run through his spine "Why me?"

Allie furrowed her brows "I'm not sure. I had an interesting talk to God."

"You met him??!!!" Steve cried in shock. "What does he look like?"

Allie laughed "Like Nick Cheung."

"Nick? Nick is God?" Steve was at lost for words "Wow, all this time I thought he was just a normal guy with a good talent that can make people laugh."

Allie shook her head, her forehead creased "No, no...you don't understand. God is just this magnificent being that you cannot see. But he transformed himself into a replica of Nick so that I can talk to him. His aura is too strong for spirits to see him. He's quite the fan of Nick." Allie smiled when Steve widened his eyes.

"Wow...This is hard to digest." Steve sighed. He was just driving in circles so they can talk.

"Tell me about it! My reason for returning is to help Sunny move on with his life. My death had a huge impact on his life, the only way for me to return to heaven is if I can accomplish my mission." Allie explained.

"What do I have to do with it?" Sunny asked.

She shrugged "Im not sure myself. God did tell me that no one could see me, except one person. That person is to help me with my mission because I will be able to help them too." she looked at Steve "What do you need help on besides your wardrobe?"

He frowned "I don't need help!" he replied haughtily "I dress fine, thank you very much."

She turned her head to the side to look at him "Let me ask you, how did it go with that one girl?" he stared her blankly "You remember, that one girl you use to look at when you ate at Phoenix Inn."

He opened his mouth in recollection "Oh her...I don't know. She stopped working there and I never knew where she went. You know what's strange? Its happened to me like five times in the past year."

Allie laughed "That's strange?" she shook her head "Oh God, I know why you want me to help him." she looked up towards the sky."

"Why?" he asked glancing back to her nervously "I promise, I was not being bad! I've only done good in my life, so I stole that bad of cookies, I was four for goodness sakes, how did I know it was wrong???!" he was frantic by now "Tell him not to condemn me to hell please...I hear it's really hot down there."

Allie smiled secretly to herself "Don't worry, you'll be okay." she assured him "As long as you help me!" she added.

He nodded "Anything to keep myself out of hell." he wiped the presperation off his forhead and it almost made Allie burst into laughter. "So what can I do?"

She sighed "I'm not sure." and she wasn't. "There must be a reason why God chose you to help me." She seemed to read his thoughts "I'm here to help you with your love life." she explained at his nagging question.

He laughed nervously "How did you know that?" he wiped more sweat off his face "Can you read minds?"

"Yeah, and I have magical powers to turn anyone into rats. And pigs into gold. I can make any woman want you." she nodded firmly. He widened his eyes in fear or she could have mistaken it for greed.

"Really?" he breathed.

She rolled her eyes "I'm not God. Just a messenger. I can't do anything except walk through ojbects, but only if I was meant to." he looked at her in confusion "Don't ask, I'm not even sure how to explain it." they passed by a supermarket and she quickly waved her hand "Stop here!"

He screeched his tires as he stopped making them bouce back against the seat. He groaned at the pain on his neck "Why didn't you say it sooner?"

She was not bothered by the impact, she no longer felt any pyshical pain "Come one." She pointed to the store "This is the best place to meet women!" he practically jumped out of the car rushing to her side door and letting her out.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go!" he quickly ignored the odd looks he recieved from passerbyers.

Allie was the only one that noticed as she pulled away from his tugging "Wait! Steve, rule number one, try not to talk to me in public." he was about to say something as she covered his mouth "Listen to me. People will be sending you the insane asylum if you don't stop talking to me. I will talk to you and if you want to respond, cross your arms. I will ask you yes and no answers only. Okay?" he nodded as she let go of his mouth "Let's go."

The two walked into the store and she made him get a cart, they walked down each aisle looking for any available woman. But each one that she pointed to was not good enough for him. Too skinny or too chubby in the hips or too old. Allie sighed as she soon realized it was going to be a harder mission than she thought. Steve sighed after an hour in the store "Can we go now?" he asked after looking around for people. He spoke when teh coast was clear.

Allie nodded "I guess." they felt defeated as they returned to his new home. The house smelled musty and dirty. He had alot of cleaning to do. "Don't mind me, I don't really sleep." she said taking a seat on one of the unopened boxes.

"What do you do?" Steve asked.

She shrugged "Sit around and watch tv."

"Didn't they hear you?" he asked in wonder.

Allie laughed "I didn't watch tv when they were sleeping, I just sat in the room with Sunny and occupied my thoughts on how to help him."

"Did you figure out anything?" Steve asked in hope. Maybe then she would be able to help him with finding the perfect mate.

She shook her head sadly "Not a thing. I'll tell you if I think of it." she turned on the television and flipped the channels around looking for something good to watch.

Steve let out a yawn "Good night." he took a few steps and then stopped "Wait, you said you stayed in the same room as Sunny?" Allie nodded, not sure where he was getting at "So you actually saw them..." he fluttered his eyebrows upward.

Allie rolled her eyes in disgust "NO! Oh my gosh, no. Ew! Anyways, they never did do it...on their wedding night that is or ever for that matter. He is not over me."

Steve's eyes looked like they were going to pop out of the sockets "Really?" he pushed her aside on the box and sat next to her "Tell me more." he said hungry for gossip.

"It's pretty sad." she began telling him about what she has observed in the past three weeks staying with Sunny and Amy.

After she finished Steve had a whole new outlook towards Sunny and Amy "Wow...I had no idea that was going on. Sheesh, no wonder you want to help them. I want to help them now too." he sighed "Love, it makes people suffer."

"I wish there was a way to show him what a great girl Amy is, so that he can be content with his life and realize that he has a gift of a wife. A better contender than I could ever be." she sighed.

Steve patted her on the back "Don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure you would have made a great wife as well. It just wasn't meant to be." together the two stared at the television watching an old american movie 'Ghost'.

The two seemed to be thinking of the same thing as they turned simultaneously "A movie!" they said as the same time!!

"That's a great idea!" Allie exclaimed "I wonder why I didn't think of it sooner..." her smile broadened as she realized why Steve was there to help "You're a producer, you can make it happen."

Steve laughed "I'm also a writer!" he shook his head in awe "There is a God." he clapped his hands with excitement "Should we start tonight?" Allie nodded in agreement "Great, what should the story be about?"

Allie smiled "Our lives. Sunny, Amy's and mine. How everything happened...how I died. Then he can see that he should move on, just like the main character...which reminds me. I remember Nick mentioning that he wanted to do a serous movie. Maybe this is his break?"

Steve nodded "That means we have to let him in on the secret...that you are here."

"No, no can know that I still exist. Only you." she frowned "I don't know what would happen if people found out."

"But if we can't tell Nick, won't he get suspicious if the story I wrote was a duplicate to your life and Sunny? His high school friend. And how about Amy? His assistant? I can explain that I hear the stories but it would be like that I was there first hand." Steve sighed "This is going to be harder than I thought."

Allie's face was covered by a smile "Maybe not?" he looked at her with questioning eyes "You are a writer and producer? Why can't you come up with this story yourself? I mean, you people are very talented right?"

Steve nodded "That is such a rational reason...I think it might just work. Okay, we'll stick to that reason." Allie nodded while Steve sliced one of the taped boxes open and pulled out a notebook and pen "Let's start."

Together the two came up with the perfect storyline. A romantic story with as much pain as it can have. The reason being is to have Sunny feel the same as the main character. While the girls' roles are to be almost opposite in personality to contemplate the fact that the main character would not confuse one girl with the other. It was a rough night for both as they worked to 6 am in the morning, Steve having too much cups of coffee that he got shaky after the third cup.

A week later, he set up a meeting with one of his favorite directors to present the new story he came up with on his own entitled "To Love is to Forget". Allie stayed up at nights typing out the story and script for Steve. The director loved the idea as he sealed their deal with a handshake and a signature on the ready documents that Steve had. "It will be a success!" Steve assured him.

"I am very optimistic that it will be." the director nodded with a wide grin.

Allie stood by Steve smiling happily "Our hard work paid off!!" she exclaimed as she jumped up and down. "Does this mean you get to cast the roles?"

Steve nodded, remembering his promise not to talk to her in public. "We'll start production in a week." the director announced. "Who do you have in mind to play the main stars?"

Steve smiled "I don't know about the girls, but I really want Nick Cheung to try for the main guy role."
