Chapter 10
Julian Cheung - Sunny LamAllison saw Amy standing there looking dumbfounded so she asked the girl "Is something wrong?"
Amy shook her head "No, I'm fine."
"Do you want something to eat?" Allison offered.
"Sure!" she said brightly as Allie found her a table and made sure she was taken care of before she talked to Richard, who seemed to be deep in his own little world.
She did not want to disturb him so she cleared her throat loudly. His head snapped up and she noticed the dark circles under his eyes "Are you okay Richard?"
He looked distraught but put on a smile to assure her "I'm fine. What can I do for you?"
"I have a friend that needs a job as a waitress. Can she interview?" Allison asked.
Richard shook his head "No." Her face fell with disappointment "But I tell you what I can do. I will give her the job, no interview necessary."
Allison's face was beaming "Thank you so much! You really don't have to do that."
He nodded his head "I'm sure any friend of yours is a well and trustful person. Although I don't know how long she will be able to stay here."
Allison was confused "I don't understand."
Richard let out a long sigh "I have to sell the restaurant in a month or maybe less. My parents have opened a restaurant in Canada. They want me to help them manage it."
She nodded understandingly "Well, it's good that they want you involved."
He ran his fingers through his hair "Maybe, but that means I have about 20 employees to lay off if I don't see the restaurant in time. Even if I do sell it, who would guarantee that the person would want to keep all of you guys? Maybe they'll have their own employees?"
She patted him on the shoulder "Don't get stressed out over this, I'm sure everyone understands what you're going through. I'll ask around for you too."
He smiled at the kindhearted girl "Thank you so much Allie."

Amy was in high spirits as she crept out of the restaurant casually after paying, hoping the other reporters did not catch her grin. Outside, Sunny was waiting for her, leaning on the lightpost across the street and eating something he bought from the street carts. He quickly waved to her and waited for her to cross the street.
He was munching on some fish balls when she came over, he had a few more sticks left as he offered her one "Have one." he motioned.
She gave him a disgusted face "Eww, no, you have no idea where that's been." she pointed to the balls.
He chuckled as he continued to eat them "You only live once." they began walking along the street.
Amy looked around at the crowded street "So where are we going?"
Sunny smiled "Eat."
She groaned "I'm not hungry. How could you eat so much? Where do you stuff it?" she looked at his flat stomach and then at his butt. "Maybe there?" her eyebrows raised playfully.
He chuckled "I don't know." After they ate at the nearest little restaurant they can find, he called for a taxi as they drove clear out into the rural parts of the country.
"Where is this place? Why would Nick want to meet us here?" she asked on the way to the countryside.
"Shhhh!" Sunny said secretly "It's a surprise."
She gave him an odd look but decided not to bother. When they stopped, Sunny paid while Amy waited patiently staring at her watch. "Okay, now can you tell me?" she asked when the driver drove his cab away.
"Nick is doing a shoot here. He told me to bring you during his break."
She nodded slowly "I see." Sunny led the way down a path that took them to a brightly litted field where a tiny cot stood. They production was underway as Amy watched in awe, her first encounter of filming in progress.
They waited patiently as the director yelled "Cut!"
Everyone began to scatter around and Amy distinctly saw a guy running up to Nick holding a cup with water or some kind of liquid inside. He must be his assistant, thought Amy. Sunny waved to his friend and Nick quickly gestured them over. Amy followed close behind as they sat outside by a ready set up bench. "So, what's the questions?"
Amy began her short interview, but it seemed she was more interested in what was going around. "What are your plans..." she dazed off as she watched the camera guy and director watching over the scene that they just filmed.
Sunny and Nick exchanged glances "Amy?" Sunny waved his hand in front of her face to bring her back to reality.
"Oh...gosh, I'm sorry." she smiled apologetically "What are they doing?" she pointed to the two men deep in conversation.
Nick turned to them and looked back at her strangely "They're editing. You seem more interested in the work then the interview." he commented.
She smiled shyly "I've always been more interested in that anyways. Can I go see?"
He shrugged "If you want." in a heartbeat she was up and running over to the director. She watched what they did and listened to what they talked about.
Nick and Sunny observed as her whole attention was put on the work. "Ever thought about getting an assistant?" Sunny said randomly.
"Not really, I don't like to boss people around." Nick shook his head "But I think she would be good." he nodded towards Amy. "Very...what's the word I'm looking for?"
"Persuasive?" Sunny offered.
Nick clapped his hands with a genuine laugh "That's it!" he turned to Amy and waved her back over "Amy, I have an offer for you."
She nodded as she took a seat "Sure, anything."
"How would you like to be my assistant?" he came straight to the point.
She dropped her jaw in shock. After a long moment she muttered "You're serious?"
Nick smiled "Would this smile lie to you?"
Sunny let out a gagging sound "I can't listen to this. I'm gonna go home. Amy, can you hitch a ride with your new boss?"
She nodded in awe "I thought you already had an assistant?" she asked.
He wrinkled his forehead "Not really? Who told you that?"
Amy pointed to the guy who brought him his drink "How about him?"
Nick laughed "Oh, Joe? Well, I could fire him right now." She widened her eyes in horror. She was stealing someone else's job. He waved for Joe to come over "Hey Joe, you're fired, I have a new assistant."
The guy turned his head strangely and nodded "Oh...okay." he shrugged and walked away.
"I feel so bad, I just took someone's job?" Amy gasped.
Nick shook his head "You are so naive. I never had an assistant, Joe is the errand boy for the production." he explained. They two laughed as they continued to chat through the night. She stayed back and watched him finish his scene and like a gentleman, he took her home.
************
Sunny returned to Phoenix Inn to look for Allie. She was cleaning up a few tables before she spotted him by the door. He strolled up to her "What are you doing later?"
She glanced up but continued to clean "Working. Unlike someone." she teased.
"Don't be jealous because you can't sit home and do nothing." he laughed.
She shook her head "Sure, sounds like the life I want to live, bored out of my head."
He sighed "I am bored. I've been looking for a job but no one wants to hire a restaurant owner."
Suddenly a thought came to Allison "I almost forgot you use to own a restaurant." she smiled as she dropped her cloth and dragged him towards the hallway leading to the bathroom.
He looked around and laughed teasingly "Boy, you know how to turn a guy on."
Allison rolled her eyes "Keep dreaming. Richard's office is back here." Surely enough after they walked to the end of the hall, appeared a hidden office. She knocked on it carefully. When they got the okay to come in, she opened it "Hi Richard, I think you've met Sunny?" she moved aside for Sunny to enter.
"Yes, shortly. How do you do?" they guys shook hands like adults.
"I found you a buyer." she smiled brightly, not waiting for them to talk.
Richard crinkled his forehead "Sunny?"
Allison smiled and nodded "Yes. He use to own a restaurant in Hawaii."
"Oh, so this is the guy you met over there!" Richard recalled vaguely about her mentioning about someone she met during her vacation stay in Hawaii.
Sunny laughed "Yes, I'm that guy. Did she tell you how we met?" Richard shook his head and Sunny was about to explain when Allison cut them off.
"Okay, that's not important. The important thing is that I found you a buyer, just talk business." she pushed.
"Is she always this pushy?" Sunny cracked.
Richard nodded with his head and eyes "Always."
It didn't seem to bother her that they were ganging up on her, she was just glad her job would not be taken away. "Come on, be serious."
Suddenly a phone call interrupted their conversation. Richard put up his hand to apologize to Sunny "I'll be just a second. Hello?" he answered the call. His eyes moved up to Allison's as he nodded into the phone. "Actually, I just got a buyer. I won't need your help afterall but thank you for your help." he chuckled a bit and then hung up his phone.
Allison didn't want to be nosy but she decided to take a shot "Anyone important?"
Richard shrugged nochalantly "Maybe...but it's not important now. I've got a buyer. Say hi to your new boss, Allie."
Sunny pushed his chin in the air "I prefer to be called Mr. Lam."
She tilted her head playfully as her eyes narrowed "How about just Sunny?"
He nodded "Okay, I'll settle for that." he and Richard shook hands as they settled the deal.
Chapter 11
Julian Cheung - Sunny LamRichard was thankful of the new buyer and he was even more happy when Sunny advised that he would be keeping the same staff. "Why don't you take off earlier?" Sunny offered when they were finished with the paperwork.
"I would like to but I want to say my goodbyes first." Richard sighed sadly "10 years can do that to a person."
Sunny shrugged carelessly "It's not like they liked you."
The former owner looked strangely at the new one "What do you mean by that?"
"It means they didn't like you." Sunny said with a laugh.
"I don't believe you!" Richard cried angrily "What do you have against me? You don't lie to a person that knows it's a lie." he was getting angrier by the minute.
Sunny sat calmly in his chair as he put up his feet comfortably on the desk of the little office in the restaurant "Don't believe me? Go outside for yourself."
"I will!" Richard stormed out of the room and down the hallway leading to the restaurant where everyone stood awaiting his arrival. Streamers were decorated and balloons were tied to every chair. He was in complete shock as his jaw dropped.
"SURPRISE!!!!" the crowd yelled happily as they laughed at his reaction.
Richard was grinning when Allie appeared from the kitchen with a cake that read 'To the Best Boss'. "You guys did this all morning?" he remembered walking into the restaurant but did not see any streamers or decorations. Then suddenly his faced dropped when he remembered yelling at Sunny.
He turned in time to see Sunny leaning at the hallway smiling at him "My job was to distract you."
Richard shook his head laughing "No wonder you asked me about the history of the restaurant."
Allie laughed "Yeah, Sunny had the tough job." she waved him over and everyone clapped their hands while Richard cut the cake. "And here's a card from us." she handed him the biggest card he has ever seen.
The group celebrated into the night as Sunny agreed to close business in celebration of Richard. Outside the restaurant stood Josh, who was wondering why the restaurant was closed. He ended up going from the back but the door too was closed. Josh peeked through the kitchen window to catch a glimpse of what was going on. Too bad the kitchen was empty. When he was about to leave, he saw Allie holding a container that looked like a cake holder. He waved to her and her heart almost jumped out of her body when she was surprised by the shadow.
She gripped her chest but smiled as she opened the door for Josh "You almost gave me a heart attack." she sighed.
Josh smiled apologetically "I'm sorry. I was wondering why the door was locked?"
She suddenly realized that he was not advised of the news "Oh, you don't know. Richard is moving to Canada, he just sold the restaurant to a new owner. You want to meet him?" she said excitely. She figured they would eventually have to work together, even if he was just the delivery boy.
"Uh...I don't think it's a good idea..." he stuttered.
Allison stopped smiling "Are you afraid he will look down on you because you're a delivery boy?"
He shook his head with a smile "Of course not, it's my job. But I don't want to ruin the fun since everyone knows each other."
"I know you." she pointed out. She smiled as she took his hand "Come on, you'll get along with him fine. He's a great guy." she took him outside the kitchen door and all eyes turned immediately to Allie and Josh.
Sunny was chatting with Rain and Richard when he saw Allie approaching him. He glanced quickly at their entwined hands but brushed it off lightly as he put on a smile "Hi there, we met before haven't we?" he held out his hand at Josh.
Josh reacted quickly and professionally as he nodded to Sunny "Yes, but not officially. I'm Josh."
"Sunny Lam. Nice to meet you. I hear from Allie that you're a good friend of hers." Sunny nodded to Allie who was smiling.
"See! I told you he was nice." she nudged Josh playfully. She turned back to Sunny "He's the delivery guy for Lai's Produce, the company we order our food from. You two should get acquainted." she was about to walk away when she leaned into Sunny "He's not just the delivery guy, he's our connection." she winked quickly and left the guys alone to talk.
Richard was watching at the corner of his eyes at the two men talking casually. He made a note to tell Sunny about Josh's true identity before he left for Canada.
**********
The next day started a brand new day for Phoenix Inn. The restaurant had a new owner and not to mention a new employee. Sunny was dressed in a suit ready for his first day of work when he remembered Josie, who was suppose to start work with him too. It wasn't by coincidence that she lived in the next apartment to him. It was that way since they could remember. He knocked on the door as he glanced at his watch, assuming that she was up and ready. When there was no answer, he remembered the spare key she left under the foot mat. He opened the door with ease and entered.
The apartment was so quiet, you could practically hear a pin fall. He walked down the short hallway and into her room. She was sprawled out on her stomach asleep like a tired kid. He sighed and was about to wake her up, instead he thought of a crueler way to do it.
When he returned to her room, he had a cup of ice and was about to throw it over her face but he knew she would only brush the cold ice away. She he pulled her shirt open from the back and tossed down the whole cup of ice. The next sound he heard was a squeal so loud that he had to cover his ears "EEEEKKK!!!" In a heartbeat Josie was up and scrambling to take the ice off her back.
Unfortunately for her, she had a habit of tucking her shirt into her pants so a few ice cubes fell into her pants. Sunny was laughing at the scene before him "Did you have an accident?" he asked at the puddle of water that dripped from her pants.
She leered at him with such vengeance "You're going to be SORRY when I'm through with you!!!" she chased him around the house ready to rip his head off.
He dodged her with ease as he laughed "I'm sorry I didn't bring my camera!!"
The comment only made her madder, eventually she gave up "Are you crazy or something?" she took deep breaths.
Sunny laughed "Is that a way to talk to your boss?"
This time she laughed "You're not my boss!" she snorted.
He nodded his head "I just bought Phoenix Inn yesterday." she wrinkled her forehead when she realized he was not joking, he answered the question that she was about to ask "If you were around long enough, maybe you would have found out yesterday. The owner had to go to Canada and at the same time Allie called me and told me about the sell."
Josie gave him a sly smile "Oh, so it was for Allie..." she teased him. "Hey, since you're the owner, that means I can sleep some more." she yawned and scratched her tousled hair and prepared to go back to her warm bed.
Sunny rolled his eyes as he caught her back shirt and lifted it while pulling her back around "No, no, no that's not how the rules work. Put your uniform on or you're fired." he threatened.
She snickered at his response, her eyes half closed "Yeah, like you're going to do that."
"Okay, you want to test me?" he let go of her shirt as he walked towards the door "You're not down there in 15 minutes, I'm going to tell the whole restaurant that you're really a man and you're gay...everything that tabloids want to hear about a person."
Josie frowned "You wouldn't dare..." it was the worse thing anyone can do to her and he knew it.
"You know I would." he laughed evilly as he left her apartment.
Sunny took the cab to the restaurant, he was surprised to find Richard there. "I thought you left already." he smiled "Can't bear to leave it right?" he teased.
Richard smiled in return "Not really, I was meaning to talk to you but we didn't have the chance last night."
"What is it?" Sunny asked wondering what it could be.
"You know the gentleman you just met? Josh?" Sunny nodded. "He is not just the delivery boy."
Sunny smiled "Yeah, I know, he's the restaurant's connection. Allie told me." he waved his hand nochalantly.
Richard shook his head "Not just that. Allie doesn't know who he is. His whole name is Josh Lai...does that ring a bell?"
His smile slowly dropped "Of Lai's Produce?" he guessed right on the nose.
"He is the second son of the Produce chain. Probably the most successful one in Hong Kong." he added.
Sunny questioned "Why didn't he introduce himself to me?"
"Allie." Richard said shortly.
"He's interested in her?" Sunny knew that he had competition, but how could he compare to a rich man's son. "Why won't he tell her?"
Richard shrugged "Because Allie met him thinking he was the delivery boy, they became friends that way and he didn't want to ruin it by telling her that he was rich."
"Why are you telling me? I'm sure I would have found out soon enough since Phoenix Inn does business with his company." Sunny reasoned.
"Because I want you to look out for Allie. I agreed not to tell her, but I don't know his exact motives towards her is. I respected the fact that he does not want to tell her, but I have this nagging feeling that it might not be good when Allie finds out the truth." Richard knew it was time for him to depart. "My flight leaves in half an hour, I have to get going."
Sunny nodded "Any last piece of advice?"
Richard grinned "Don't date your employees." he gave a wink to Sunny and got in his car, before he closed the door he added "But only if she's okay with it."
Sunny watched as Richard pulled away and he looked up at his new restaurant. He still wasn't sure how everyone would react to the new boss now that the old one was gone. He opened the double doors to be greeted by all the employees. They stood neatly in a row and bowed respectfully when he entered the room. He smiled brightly at his new crew "Okay, rule number one: No need for politeness. I prefer to be called Sunny and nothing else. If you need a day off, let me know a few days ahead of time....hmm...am I missing something?"
"How about if an employee is late?" Allie asked, her eyes concentrated to the person behind Sunny.
"Immediate deduction of payroll." Sunny said straightforwardly. It was not unfamiliar to him, he knew how to run a business.
Allie laughed "Sorry Josie."
Sunny turned in time to see Josie panting like a kid with asthma. She leaned on her knees as she put up a hand "I... I...am..."
"Late." Sunny said bluntly. He shook his head at his friend. "What did I tell you?"
Allie brought her friend a glass of water "It's her first day, just give her a break." she stroked Josie's back as she gulped down the water.
"If I give her a favor then everyone will want one." Sunny reasoned.
Josie put up her hand when Allie was about to speak up for her "It's okay. He doesn't pay that well." she and Allie laughed while Sunny's face turned to a frown. She stood up face to face with Sunny "Don't worry boss, I won't be late again." she said solemnly.
Sunny nodded "Good. Now get to work." he smiled at Allie but frowned at Josie.
Josie looked at Allie "He plays favorites." she rolled her eyes and walked towards the kitchen to get her new apron. It was going to be a long day and she knew it. She always had problems adjusting to a new atmosphere.
Chapter 12
Julian Cheung - Sunny LamThe first week with the new owner was flowing smoothly, but Sunny felt like there was something missing. He finally realized what it was after two weeks flew by and decided to ask Allie for her opinion. He called her into the office during business hours, there were a few glances and whispers coming from the other waiters but the most curious was Josie.
Sunny closed the doors behind her and pointed to the chair "Have a seat, Allie."
She did as she was told but couldn't help but felt a little nervous "Any problems?"
He shook his head with a smile "Of course not. I wanted to know your opinion. What do you think about changing a part of the restaurant?" she tilted her head thoughtfully not sure of what he was getting at "I want to add a bar on one side of the restaurant, I just wanted to know your opinion."
"To be honest, I always thought that this restuarant needed that touch but I knew Richard would never go for it."
Sunny was happy of her answer "Great, I'll get the project started."
Allison's face fell "You're not doing it because I said it are you?"
He shrugged and smiled adorably at her "What if I did?"
She moved around in her seat uncomfortably "I don't know if that's a good idea...I don't want anyone to start any rumors about us." her words didn't seem to effect him as she continued "I mean it's bad enough you..." her words faded away.
Sunny crossed his arms while leaning back on his chair "What? That's I'm in love with you?"
Her faced blushed over as she looked down at her hands which was resting on her thighs. "I was going to say that you favor me..." again she faded away.
"Oh...well, I'm glad that was brought out in the open." Sunny said with much relief.
He knew it made her uncomfortable but she did have the right to know and he had the right to tell her. "Sunny...I-" she looked up at him with earnest eyes.
He quickly cut her off "Look, if you want to reject me, just save it. I'm not giving up."
Allison let out a sigh of defeat "How could you be in love with someone you barely know?"
Sunny smiled at her the same way she remembered he did for the first time "It doesn't take years for someone to know another person. And surely it doesn't take years to fall in love with someone. Don't you believe in love at first sight?"
She shook her head "No." she replied bluntly. "If you don't mind, boss. I want to get back to work." she got up and left without giving him time to answer. She walked down the hall slowly as his words sank into her head. She promised herself that she would not let his belief in fate get to her. She didn't have to worry about it soon because when she returned to the restaurant, she found Steve sitting down at a table fit for 10 but there was no one else around him with the exception of Josie towering over him with her hands on her hips.
When she got closer she heard Josie telling the stubborn man "Look, I don't care who you are or if you are the Queen of England, get off this chair. It's saved for customers that have a party of ten!" she yelled angrily.
Steve was stubborn as can be as he sat still and sipped on the tea that was ready made and set on every table. "I will have ten people." he said calmly.
Josie brought her hands out as she pointed to the empty seats "You said that 10 minutes ago. Sir, I will have to use force if you don't move."
Allison stood there smiling at her friend, she knew she had to break it up but deep down she wanted to see Josie use 'force' on Steve. "Can someone get this tomboy away from me?" he waved his hand in the air like he was a king.
This time Allison let out a laugh and it was when Josie noticed her standing there "Allie, you came in time, get this hunk of flab off our chair."
Steve glanced up as he smiled at Allie "Is this how the help treat the guests? Can I talk to the owner please?"
Allison smiled as she sat down next to Steve "Look Mr. Leung, as much as I want to help you, Josie is right. You need to move."
He was sipping on his tea when he almost spat it out, he let out a few coughs while Allison patted him on the back "I thought you were on my side?"
"I guess you were wrong!" Josie quipped.
"Are you meeting with Nick?" Allison asked.
Steve nodded "Yes. It's very important that I stay here where he can see me."
"Maybe he's already here?" she remembered the secret way Nick enters the restaurant. "Did you know he has his own special room? And he comes from the back door not the front."
Steve let out a laugh "Well I'll be darned." he got up and bowed to Josie "You can have your table back now, maybe now your nose will stop flaring." he stuck up his chin and walked passed her with Allison following close behind.
"Monkey brain." Josie muttered under her breath.
"I heard that!" Steve yelled without looking back.
"Do you always provoke people to yell at you?" Allison asked straightforwardly.
"No, only to rude waitresses that look like men." he snickered as they walked throught he door of the secluded room. Surely enough, Nick was sitting there with Amy by his side. They seem to be discussing something important.
"There you are!" Nick cried "We've been sitting her for almost an hour!"
Steve laughed "Well, while you were having fun in here, I was outside being harrassed by the worse looking guy I have ever seen."
Nick wrinkled his eyebrows, he only remembered two male waiters and they were both good looking "Who?"
Allison sighed "She's a girl! And stop talking like she's a guy." Steve raised one eyebrow at her "She's my friend."
"Okay, lets get down to business." Nick said in a serious tone. He waved for Steve to shake hands with Amy "This is my new personal assistant, Amy Yeun."
"I'm Steve Leung." he nodded and shook her hand.
Amy smiled "Nice to meet you...Nick has told me alot about you."
"Good things I hope?" Steve teased.
She nodded "Very good things."
Allison muffled a giggle at the comment "I didn't know it was possible." Steve's face fell as he turned to her with a hand on his hip. She quickly cleared her throat "Sorry. Okay, what are we having today?"
Nick smiled at his favorite waitress "The usual, Allie. We're in a rush. I have a shoot coming up in an hour and a half."
She nodded and replied "Sure. I'll tell them to rush on your dishes."
Nick grinned as he threw her a wink "Thanks, love." Steve observed his friend's behavior and when he continued to stare at Nick, he threw in "I know I'm handsome but you don't have to look at me like that. People might think we're gay." he nodded to Amy, who was smiling to herself.
"And you wonder why rumors start about you." Steve shook his head with a sigh "I can see it now, headlines for tomorrow's Entertainment Magazine 'Nick Cheung has the hots for a low pay waitress'. That'll give them something to talk about."
"So I'm a little friendly." Nick argued.
Steve snickered "Hmph! That's friendly, then I guess you'll be all over her if you liked her huh?"
Amy came to Nick's defense "But he is a friendly person." she insisted "Plus being a star means you have to have a good attitude towards everyone, especially the little people. If you can't get along with them, how will you deal with the thousands of important people that he has to kiss up to everyday?" she finished with her left brow raised at Steve.
Nick covered his mouth from letting the laugh escape his lips "She's got a point." he nodded.
Steve leered his eyes at Amy and then back to Nick "What is it with you and smart mouth women? They're just going to run your life one day you know." he turned in time to see Allison returning with their first dish.
She paused for a second and placed the dish closer to Nick and Amy. "Enjoy." she said sweetly to them and ignored Steve.
"See what I mean?" Steve pointed when Allison walked away.
Nick laughed at his friend "Just eat will you."
"I'm not hungry." he pouted as he sat back in his chair.
Nick shrugged "Sure. More for me and Amy." he picked up a piece of steaming chicken and placed it on her bowl.
"Thank you." she said while smiling at Steve.
He watched them eat after a moment and sat up to grab his chopsticks. He pointed at the two of them "Just because I actually am hungry."
Allison walked in with two more dishes "Yeah, do what you do best, eat." she quipped when setting down the dishes for them.
Steve turned to her "Are you even capable of saying anything nice to me?"
She smiled sweetly "Sure." she covered her mouth to clear her throat "My Mr. Leung, you're looking thinner today. Did you lose like 5 pounds?"
Nick had to drop his chopsticks as he let out a comfortable laugh. "You kill me, Allie!"
Allison nodded politely "Thank you." she left them alone with Nick's laughter roaring down the hall. She opened the kitchen door with Sunny looking at her with a smile "What's so funny in there?" he nodded to the room.
She shrugged lightly "Nothing special." she was about to walk away when he blocked her way.
"I have something to tell you." he said in a serious tone.
"Can it wait?" she looked around as some eyes were on them.
He shook his head "No, it concerns your friend, Josh, the delivery boy. Or so he says." he just wanted to reveal the true identity of her so called friend. He didn't know what his motives were but it couldn't be good since he learned from Richard that their family had a history of mistreating women.
"What do you mean by that?" she glanced at her watch "He's delivering some stuff right now, I think you better not talk about him like that." she said curtly.
"You don't know half of the things you think you know." Sunny tried to reason with her.
"And you need to keep your comments to yourself." she stormed passed him into the restaurant. She froze in her steps as she realized she just walked into a burgerly in action. There were three masked men holding guns as one of them pointed the gun to her, he motioned to put her hands up in the air. She did as he told but kept quiet.
