ADMISSION

The school welcomes applicants of all faiths, but as an Islamic school, priority is given to Muslim girls. The selection is based upon an admission test and interview.

Open evenings are held twice a year, in March and November, providing an opportunity for the prospective pupils and parents to obtain an insight of the school.

The application form and school prospectus can be obtained free of charge from the school office at Manchester Islamic High School, 55 High Lane, Chorlton, M21 9FA, UK. A set of past papers can also be purchased from the school.

Entrance exams for admission into year 7 take place twice a year in January/February and April/May. This comprises of 4 papers in English, Mathematics, Reasoning and Islamic Studies. Applicants are shortlisted for interview based upon their performance in the admission test. Candidates who do not reach the required score can resit in the later exam. Places are limited and therefore an early application is advised.

Admission into the other years is possible depending upon vacancies arising. Please contact the school for the latest information.
