THE SONG OF THE WINDFLOWER FAIRY!

While human-folk slumber,
The fairies espy
Stars without number
Sprinkling the sky.
The Winter's long sleeping,
Like night-time, is done;
But day-stars are leaping
To welcome the sun.
Star-like they sprinkle
The wildwood with light;
Countless the twinkle----
The Windflowers white!

Hi!
My name is Mary....Star had do go in and pratice her violin, so she asked if I would show you the letter E!

It is a pleasure to meet all of you. I just met Star, and she is already like a big sister to me.

First let us look to see what the flower is for May! The flower for May is the Lily which is strong and so many differnt colors.

The birth stone is the Emerald, such a beautiful color green.
As far as I know there is the elm tree and the elderberry for the letter E.

But I will keep looking!

So, let us go to the Herbs,----- which there only has one!
English Mallow------(Althea officinalis)----is a member of the hollyhock family. The leaves and roots have been used as vegetables and medicines since ancient times. The name comes from the Greek word altho which means "to heal"..... Medicinal Use: English Mallow is used primarily for its soothing properties, and a cold maceration of the root will be of help in soothing the digestive tract and ease gastric ulcers.

It is also useful in chest colds and bronchitis. English mallow has been used to help heal ureters and urethra when there has been damage from kidney stones. A poultice of the leaves or powdered root can be used for boils, abscesses, ulcers and other skin conditions. An infusion of the flowers was used historically as a mouthwash.

It sounds like Star is still practicing on her violin. It sounds rather good. Capt.Cutlass are you still looking for Cpt.Blood?

I saw him down by his ship, getting ready to set her sails. I told him that Star and something very important to tell him, and he said that he will be bye to say his farewells. He is waiting for High tide!

THE SONG OF THE FUCHSIA FAIRY!

Fushsia is a dancer
Dancing on her toes,
By a cottage wall;
Sometimes in a greenhouse,
In frilly white and rose,
Dressed in her best for the fairies' evening ball!

June is such a fun time of the year. Let us look and see what the birth flower and stone will be!

Oh!...... that is right the flower for June is the Rose! Oh!, how I love the smell of roses! You will have to wait for the R's to know all about the Roses!

The birth stone is a Pearl! I had never thought of a Pearl as a stone, for it does not come from the ground, but from an oyster!

The flowers that the fairies enjoy are!!!!!!

FAIRY FLOWERS FERN-------- Ferns are favored by pixies, who can sometimes be found near them.
FLAX----------------------Purging Flax is also called Fairy Flax.
FOXGLOVE GRASS---------- Small fairies ride bundles of grass as horses.

Let us look at what is around us to enjoy!!!!!

In the Herbs there is the Fennel!...... Medicinal Use: Fennel is an effective treatment for respiratory congestion and is a common ingredient in cough remedies.

It is sometimes added to baby formula to aid digestion.
