THE SONG OF THE SONG OF THE GORSE FAIRIES!

When gorse is out of blossom.
(Its prickles bare of gold)
Then kissing's out of fashion,
Said country-folk of old.
Now Gorse is in its glory
In May when skies are blue,
But when its time is over,
Whatever shall we do?
O dreary would the world be,
With everyone grown cold---
Forlorn as prickly bushes
But this will never happen:
At every time of year
You'll find one bit of blossom---
A kiss from someone dear!

I am so happy that you had a chance to meet both Sue and Mary, they are such special friends. Hopefully you will be able to meet some of my other girl-friends.

Mary told me that she introduced you to one of Amy Browns' pictures. I hope that you enjoyed her work............
Okay, let us take a look at the letter G.

Hello There!...Dr. Peter! So good to see you....Are you looking for your nephew Cpt.Blood? Well....No....He asked that I stop by and let you know as well as your friends, that he will be stopping by, before he sets sail.

OH!....thank You so much for stopping by to let us know.

For the month of July the flower is the Larkspur.....And the stone is the Ruby!

THE SONG OF THE GERANIUM FAIRY!

Red, red, vermilion red,
With buds and blooms in a glorious head!
There isn't a flower, the wide world through,
That glows with a brighter scarlet hue.
Her name---Geranium---ev'ryone knows;
She's just as happy wherever she grows,
In an earthen pot or a garden bed---
Red, red, vermilion red!

THE SONG OF THE HERB TWOPENCE FAIRY

Have you pennies? I have many:
Each round leaf of mine's a penny,
Two and two along the stem---
Such a business, counting them~
(While I talk, and while you listen,
Notice how the green leaves glisten,
Also every flower-cup
Don't I keep them polished up?)

Let us see what the flower is for the month of August.! It is the Gladioli, which is so many different colors. Stone: Peridot is for the month of August.

The purple-blue flowers are about an inch ¼ inch long and are carried in long, narrow spikes. All parts of the plant give off a strong aroma

Culinary Uses: Leaves have a slightly bitter, minty taste. They should be used sparingly in salad. A few leaves can be used in savory dishes such as rich stews and in marinades.

Flowers can be used as an attractive garnish and in salads.
