Pantoorat Mountain
In Thai mythology Pantoorat was a giant, who died of a broken heart when her adopted son ran away.
The mountain at Khao Sok was given the name Pantoorat, since it resembles the shape of a body when it is laid down for funeral rites (hands crossed in prayer on the chest) and it is believed that Khao Sok was the border which she could not cross and so it became her final resting place...
