ringo_starr_chat: No.

Ytazmanfl: Hi Ringo, do you have a lineup of who you want to be in the next tour?

ringo_starr_chat: No.

Yzilchc: Hi Ringo! I’m a huge fan of your music. I was wondering, what is your favorite thing about touring with the All Starr Band?

ringo_starr_chat: It’s always the playing. It’s the musicians, we get together, it’s the playing, nobody likes the actual touring.

ChatYahoo_Lisa: What’s not fun about the touring?

ringo_starr_chat: You’ve got to catch a bus, plane or van and you’re in a different hotel every night.

ringo_starr_chat: The easy bit is when we’re on stage.

YPjschindel: How was your snare tuned to achieve the sound it had on “Rubber Soul” and other ‘65 - ‘66 recordings?

ringo_starr_chat: It’s always tuned deep and also the snares are always loose and probably at that period I had a tea towel over the top of it.

Yognir99: Ringo, how do you like being a grandfather?

ringo_starr_chat: I love it!

ringo_starr_chat: I love it!

Considering the success of the “Wingspan” project, I was just wondering if you might ever put together a DVD of your own music videos, like “Wrack My Brain,” the updated “Love Me Do,” or any other goodies you migh have tucked away some where... ;0) ? ringo_starr_chat: Yes, that’s something we’re really considering right now.

ringo_starr_chat: We’re actually looking for all the videos of the singles I’ve done, and any footage that any of you guys out there may have.

Ybarrman34: hey Ringo what is your favorite song to perform live?

ringo_starr_chat: I love Little Help, I Am The Greatest, I Wanna Be Your Man, I don’t have one.

Yrony909: I drum, do you still find theres Always something to learn with percussion, or do you reach a point where you can do everything?

ringo_starr_chat: No, I don’t think you ever reach the point where you can do everything. But you should come to the show and see Sheila E... she’s getting very close to it.

ringo_starr_chat: No.

Ymyrddyns: I’m so excited to meet you. You were always my favorite. Do you still have all the rings that us fans sent you?

ringo_starr_chat: They are all safely tucked away thank you.

Ytazmanfl: Will the band be adding any other dates after the tour starts?

ringo_starr_chat: No.

ringo_starr_chat: Everybody has committments and we’ve all committed to do this tour for a set amount of time.

ringo_starr_chat: After that we all have plans.

YDave350405G: Who was your favorite engine in Thomas the Tank Engine?

ringo_starr_chat: After Thomas, Gordon.

ringo_starr_chat: He had strength of character.

Yneil_rogers_fan: Do you ever use “midi” (computerized music) or is everything played manually?

ringo_starr_chat: I play everything manually.

Ytristanjet: Ringo have you tackled any of the early fifties music with your All Star Band

ringo_starr_chat: I feel that You’re 16 Your Beautiful is a fifties song, though I did record it in the seventies.

Yrony909: Do you plan do tour Europe (Ireland again Please) soon?

ringo_starr_chat: Not this year ...

Ynashboro2: What was Keith Moon like?

ringo_starr_chat: He was a very dear friend to me, a very loving, kind person. oringo_starr_chat: Who without warning, would go mad!

Yjamie_sara_starkey: Now that you’ve had some time to think about it; what’s your favorite song from the “Vertical Man” album (which, by the way, we have in the CD player right now!!)

ringo_starr_chat: It’s always difficult for me to choose, they all have good memories, to pick one, I feel like I’m letting the other tracks down!

Ycryinangl: Do you still have your Sgt. Pepper uniform?

ringo_starr_chat: Yes, it’s actually on tour right now, in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, John Lennon’s.

ringo_starr_chat: ANd Paul McCartney’s I’ve just been informed.

Yrrradioheadfan: Ringo, would you ever consider singing again? I think you have a beautiful voice. Yellow Submarine is pure velvet!

ringo_starr_chat: What in the h* ll are you talking about? I’m on tour, what do you think I’m doing?!?

Ymrbun27: None of the members of the All-Starr band have ever performed with you before. was this a conscious decision or just the way the cards fell?

ringo_starr_chat: This was a conscious decision.

ringo_starr_chat: I had got so secure playing with Jack Bruce, and Simon Kirk the last few years, that I felt to keep the tradition of Ringo and the All Stars, I would have to change the whole band. Which I have done.

YWSR216: A question to someone with a musical pedigree such as yours, “What does a song have to have to make an impression on you?”

ringo_starr_chat: I think the words have to move me.

ringo_starr_chat: I think I have to relate in some way.

ringo_starr_chat: Then of course, we hope it has a great melody.

Ymercy_mm: Do any of your children or grandchildren write music or are artistic envolved in your band.

ringo_starr_chat: They are not involved in my band ....

ringo_starr_chat: But three of them are musicians.

ringo_starr_chat: Two drummers, and my step daughter is a bass guitarist.

Ybozmann: Ringno, do you ever wish you could re-write some of the beatles music, or even improve it?

ringo_starr_chat: No.

ringo_starr_chat: Silly question.

Ygr8sk8in88: Just wondering how you are feeling. I had tickets for your show last year and you had to cancel due to laringitis so I’m just hoping you’re feeling fine right now. I have tickets for Thurs and can hardly wait

Ysheck50: Can a left handed drummer be just as good as right handed drummer - does it matter?

ringo_starr_chat: Of course ... and No.

Yneil_rogers_fan: Which was your favorite (or least favorite) decade: The 60's, 70's, 80's or 90's etc.

ringo_starr_chat: Well I’m afraid to say I only vaguely remember the nineties.

ringo_starr_chat: Yes. Not quite as much as I used to.

Ytommcsweeney: Ringo! How’d Howard Jones come to be in the new All Star line up. He’s great!

ringo_starr_chat: Howard is incredible. And we smile because the more difficult the song, the more Howard smiles.

Ydj_lexmark: Mr. Starr can we expect any new material from you and the band any time soon?

ringo_starr_chat: No. This is Ringo and the All Stars, and we do hits from the 60's through 90's, we won’t be recording any new stuff.

Ypinkyblister: If I have rare video or audio footage of you, who should I contact to see if you might like to use it?

ringo_starr_chat: The police!

Yhippyhoppy 2001: How did Mark Rivera avoid replacement yet again? (By the way, he’s great)

ringo_starr_chat: Mark is great and I am blessed every time he is free to come on tour with me.

ringo_starr_chat: No, I think the Beatles are a intergenerational band, each generation listens to our music.

ringo_starr_chat: Yes, I do.

ringo_starr_chat: I’d say about seventy percent.

ringo_starr_chat: Ian Hunter has a new record out ... so it’s going to be a thrill every night to be playing All The Young Dudes. And we’re also doing Cleveland Rocks.

YWSR216: You mentioned Sheils E. Have you ever had the opportunity to play with her father?

ringo_starr_chat: No.

ringo_starr_chat: She is the best, an incredibly sensitive, loving human being and a great, great musician.
