As I rode the bus home I struggled to hold back my tears. After the fight I had just had with my boyfriend Ritchie, I thought my life was over. It all started that morning when he phoned me.
"Hello?" I answered groggily
"Good morning sunshine!"
"How long have you been up Ritchie?"
"Only an hour or so."
"Well you must have phoned for some reason, now what is it?"
"Meet me at the little coffee shop on the corner in an hour, I've got something to tell you."
"Alright love."
So I dragged myself out of bed and slowly thumbed through my closet for something to wear. I finally decided on a pale yellow dress that complimented my blue eyes. It was raining out and I should have wore my mac but I was too excited to care.
I walked in the coffee shop and saw Ritchie already waiting eagerly at a booth. I sat down and ordered a cup of coffee. After the waitress left I asked "What was it you wanted to talk to me about, love"
"The boys are going on another trip to Germany and we'd like to have you along."
"And stay in that dirty little storage room? I think not" (sarcastically)
"We have a lot more quid this time around and I think we can afford a hotel"
"I don't know Ritchie. You know how my parents feel about me going on tours with you guys."
"Tell them that Amy's going too."
"Ritchie! I can't lie to my parents like that!"
A painful look came into his eyes as he said, "It must not be that important to you."
"Ritchie! You know it's important to me!"
"Is it?"
He rose and threw some quid on the table before walking out the door. Leaving my half-empty cup on the table I followed him into the pouring rain but he was already gone.
