"Mom?" I asked as she walked in the door.
"Yes?"
"Can I go to Germany with the Beatles?"
"I don't know." she answered doubtfully.
"Please? You and dad know I'm responsible and I won't do anything that I'll regret. Besides, Amy's going." I lied.
"Alright you can go."
I almost screamed with excitement as I ran up stairs to pack my bags.
The next morning Ritchie drove up in the van with Brian and the boys to pick me up. I heaved my bag into the back of the van and climbed in. As I took my seat in the back between John and Ritchie John asked sarcastically "Dressing up for Ritchie are we?" referring to the tight black dress I had on.
All I could do was smile as I felt my cheeks flush. "I'll take that as a yes." George remarked, causing me to blush even more. Ritchie put his arm around my waist and whispered in my ear,
"Either way You're gorgeous."
Somewhere around noon John shouted, "I'm starving! What do you say we stop and grab a bite, eh?". We all agreed so we stopped a small diner where everyone ordered fish and chips. We all sat in a both back in the corner and discussed what songs they should sing on the tour.
"We can sing our new one, 'I Saw Her Standing There' and Gene Vincent sings this really fab song 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow." Paul suggested.
"What do you think love?" Ritchie asked me softly.
"I like it. I think it'll go real well over there." I happily replied before taking a bite of my fish.
We arrived in Hamburg at about nine 'o' clock and I was exhausted! So we stopped at the first half decent hotel we saw and got our rooms. Ritchie, Paul and George shared a room, Brian and John were in the next one over, and I was in the room across the hall from Ritchie. He came over and kissed me gently on the lips and said, "See you in the morning love.". I answered him with a kiss of my own and stumbled sleepily into my room.
