All of us have experienced the feeling. You wake up early one morning, and as you get ready to go to school, for some reason you just don't feel the usual way you feel. Your legs are heavy, your arms are weak, and you don't want to move a muscle. And worst of all, the hungry feeling in your gut.
You eat a seemingly endless amount of food for breakfast. It wasn't enough. You snack in between classes, and then the long awaited lunch period comes along. The $5 you were saving for a rainy day now becomes the pass to enjoyment. You spree to the lunch line, and grab whatever it is you can. Ahh... the sweet taste of food. But, quicker than you'd expect, the bell rings, and lunch comes to an end.
Practice rolls around. Your arms and legs, still weighed down by bricks, do not allow you to move the way you want to move. The day before you were cruising around teh course, and now, today, you struggle to finish the warm up. You lag behind throughout the workout, and finally it comes to an end. Sweat is pouring down your neck and dripping off your sweltering body. Eveyone is feeling fine, but today just isnt your day.
You get on the bus for the ride home, and the first thing to come to your mind is food. Yes food. Not the workout, not your homework, not what the rock is going to do on raw tonight, but food. The hunger you felt throughout breakfast and lunch is nothing when it is compared to the hunger you feel now. You become dillusional. Your mind spinds around in circles. You begin to breathe heavy. Then, suddenly, you snarl at the person you're sitting next to, and at once, jump on him, wrestle him to the ground, and steal his food.
Ahh... the satisfaction... of a half eaten, soggy sandwich on the bus ride home from a workout. You're hunger has now passed, and now all your stomach looks for is the satisfaction of a tough workout for the day ahead.
