After a week of deliberations... the verdict is in: FLYERS WIN!!!! At the sports awards Mr. Carreiro announced proudly that there had been a mistake in the tallying of scores, and, in fact, us FLYERS... finished in first place by 1/2 a point!!! COngratulations to all the hard work everyone put in to make this the one of the best meets we have ever competed in!!!! |
ArmoryTrack Official Results Click here for complete meet results!! The Flyers turned in some unbelievable performances, most notably: Didier LeCorp's first place throw in the discus of 189"3, which is currently #1 in New York State, and a Nassau County Record!!! |
We had three qualifiers for state championships: Didier, and both the 4x400m and 4x800m Relay teams. Good luck to all those competing upstate! |

A few notes... Chaminade was without Jason Schenck, their star 200m, long jumper, and 4 x 400m man; and Brian Goodrich (Steeple Chaser). Also, St. Anthony's was without their star Paul Moser (400m & 4x400m). All three were absent due to injuries from NSCHSAA Championships last weekend. Freshman Greg Pries of Chaminade blew away his competition with a 4:47 clocking the the 1600m. Finally, in case you are not aware, the CHSAA Champs is also a qualifier for the state championships. Every competitor placing first qualifies for states, and a second or third place finisher qualifies for states if his time meets the standards. |
