Over a 16 years old career, Sunny Deol has acheived alot. Sure he had Some misses but there were some great hits. "Betaab" his first film and his first hit, Sunny's fresh look and meaningful glances successfully tamed the audience in accepting him as a hero. Even the fact that he was married did not affect the success of this romantic film. Later came "Arjun". Exploring the frustrations of unemployed youth who become pawns in the hands of politicians. "Arjun" was the turning point in Sunny's career. With "Dacait" and "Yateem", Sunny graduated into a bare-chested action hero. Then came "Ghayal" with Rajkumar Santoshi's debut as a director, "Ghayal" became one of the most critically-acclaimed successess of the 90's. Sunny acted in a number of multi-starrers like "Paap Ki Duniya", "Ram Avtaar", "Tridev" and "Kshatiya". Among his noticable performances were "Narsimha", "Lootere" and "Damini" (which won him a national award). "Jeet" proved that Sunny was on a winning spree in the 90's. His command over the character's inner life was amazing. "Border" brought out the best in Sunny. "Ziddi" is a roaring explosion of violent impulses strung together by Deol's extremely poised and balanced performances as a reluctant ganglord.
