Chapter 7

Over three weeks have passed since Jacky began his undercover work. He was getting restless and very bored at work, no one was will to approach him or befriend him. It made him realize that being different was almost like being condemned. He had a sudden understanding of what Johnny or anyone different would have gone through. It made him sad and almost depressed to know that his fellow employees were judging people on their cover.

After he realized this, he dreaded waking up in the morning to go to work. Although he didn't have to do anything hard since Jim was his 'boss' and he wouldn't dare give Jacky any work. He basically had nothing to do all day. It was a Monday but he wished it was a Friday. He still had another two months to work undercover. Although he uncovered many different things from people, there were still others that made him question their work habits.

************

Annie woke up Monday morning feeling great. She was well rested and she made sure she had enough to eat since her incident at the hospital. She finally got a call from Hung Corp, the hiring manager gave her the good news. They were not going to hire anyone. But the assistant of Miss Lai, a manager of one of the departments, quit unexpectedly. Therefore an open position came in for Annie. She was ecstatic to know that she got the job.

She changed into her best white collar shirt, it was a little big but she didn't really care. Her pin stripe pants were dragging on all sides of her legs. It was the best looking clothes she had in her closet. Her home was really close to her new work place so she planned to walk there.

She grabbed her purse and jacket as she left the apartment. The streets were crowded as usual, she made sure she was early on the first day to give herself a good impression with her new boss. Annie opened the double glass doors and chased the full elevator that was going up. Someone held the door open for her, it was a guy with spiked hair and streaks of highlights. She nodded politely at him while everyone else groaned in disapproval. When the doors opened to the 20th floor, everyone pushed out of the castrophobic little box. Annie looked up and found the reception area with a huge sign that read Hung Corporation. She smiled proudly as she was now an employee.

She glanced at her watch as she entered the already busy place. Architects had their own little offices, while their assistants were in cubicles placed in the center of the rounded room. Even the offices were designed with such fabulous work. She was in awe with everything, forgetting that she was to meet her new boss in five minutes.

The lady stood behind Annie when she cleared her voice loudly. "Ahem! Miss, I don't know about you, but most of us work at eight." her voice was full of authority.

Annie turned around and glanced at her watch "But its 7:55" she replied timidly, unsure of the person standing in front of her.

"Look at that clock and tell me it doesn't read 8:02." the lady demanded as she pointed a sharp finger at the huge round clock to Annie's left.

She didn't know what else to say but "Sorry." she mumbled. A few people snickered in the backround while she heard some giggles. Lowering her head to hide her red cheeks.

"What's your name? Are you new here?" the woman asked.

"Annie, its my first day." she looked up slowly.

The woman seemed to be disappointed as she realize this frumpy girl was her new assistant. "Annie Chu?" she nodded at her new boss "Come with me." her voice was cold and harsh as she walked towards her big office. As she walked inside, she ordered "Close the door and have a seat." taking a comfortable stride behind her leather seat as she sat down. "Now that we have your time schedule settled. I will explain to you a little about me and your job."

"Yes Mam." Annie said respectfully.

The lady rolled her eyes "Don't ever call me that. I prefer Miss Lai. I've never been married and I don't like to be called Mam, its just so old." her wrinkles at the corner of her eyes seemed to contradict her words as they were visible to the naked eye. Annie didn't want to be rude as she nodded "You will type any documents that I have for you, run ANY errands that I ask you to do, and you are not to attend or help anyone but me. Understood?"

"Yes, Miss Lai." she said obediently. Annie suddenly felt herself being in some sort of a boot camp.

The lady nodded with a fake smile on her face, approving of Annie's response. "Also, I do not want to see you talking to anyone out there. We don't pay you to talk to other employees. Everyone is very busy here and no one has time to talk to you."

Annie was afraid to ask, she didn't know where her seat was and she had a feeling her new boss wouldn't be so kind in helping her. "Well, what are you waiting for?" she pointed to the doors "Get to work. You just got 7 free minutes."

"I...I don't know where my seat is." she stuttered.

Miss Lai gave her an exasperated look "Go outside and past about 5 cubicles on your right, you will see a stack of blue files on your desk."

Annie wasted no time as she got up and nodded politely before walking out of the congested room. She let out her breath and walked to where Miss Lai told her to go. When she got to her desk, she didn't expect the stack to be so high. There must have been at least 20 files. Her desk was in the corner, away from everyone else's cubicle, which she didn't mind at all, that way no one would bother her. She sat down and turned on her computer, excited to get to work. It was funny, even after that realization that her boss was a big jerk, she still wanted to work. Usually, people like Miss Lai would intimidate her, but this was her dream Company.

Jacky noted how rude Miss Lai was to the new girl. He remembered her from the elevator ride up. She was plain, with her hair pulled back in a bun and a few strands that flew out of place. Her glasses were always sagging and her braces were a distraction from her smile. He wondered how this girl would react to his disguise. Jacky had long given up on the other people, they were all so mean and rude. And there were those that worried too much about work, so they could careless about some gay co-worker.

A few minutes before lunchtime, Jacky put back his notebook and got up from his desk. He took a deep breath, ready for another disappointing reaction. "Hello." he said sweetly as he stood over her cubicle.

Annie heard a feminine voice greet her, the first person that said hi to her all morning. She looked up and only found a guy. He leaned on little divider of her cubicle "Hi." she said timidly.

"You new here? Im Jacky." he put out his hand and when she was about to shake it, he quickly pulled back "I would shake your hand but I just got my nails done." he pulled his fingers to his lips and blew at them.

She smiled showing her full set of braces "Im Annie. So how long have you worked here?"

"A long time!" he exaggerated with a wave of a hand.

"Years?" she asked, he looked so young though. Suddenly she remembered him from the elevator, he held the door open for her.

"Just a month but it feels like years!" he laughed at his own joke while Annie smiled. "Well come on. Its lunch time."

"Oh no, I have too much work. Anyways, I already have lunch." she leaned over and pulled out an apple from her big knit purse.

He rolled his eyes "Work, it'll always be there. An apple is no lunch. Come on, my treat? Welcoming the new employee?" he seemed so insistant that she couldn't say no. He was pleased to know that there was at least one decent person at his father's company.

"Okay." she said as she reached for her purse.

He took her to a little cafe down the street from their building. Jacky ordered sandwiches for both of them, he stared after the waiter with adoring eyes. But suddenly his eyes moved to a single customer sitting by himself at one of the booths. He seemed to be drooling over him.

Annie tried to hide her embarrassment from the guy that sat across from her. She didn't mind that he was gay but she felt weird that he kept staring at other men. She sipped her drink slowly while Jacky blew kisses at the guy in the booth. "Isn't he cute??!" he gushed to Annie, who just nodded.

The guy was uncomfortable of the obvious gawking guy across the table from him. He paid for his food and quickly got up, walking by Jacky without a glance. Jacky looked like he was about to grab him. When the guy continued on his way,. Jacky sighed with disappointment "Another fish lost in the sea." he said dramatically.

She muffled a giggle "You're very different." she said.

He twirled his straw in his glass of soda. "Is that a compliment?"

She shrugged her shoulders "I guess." their food came as she began to dig into her food. She was starving.

"You got a boyfriend?" His forward question made her choke on her food. She didn't expect such a personal question. She covered her mouth with a napkin as she coughed up the half swallowed food. "I'll take that as a no?" his eyes arched up.

She shook her head "I've never had one." she said between chews. Her red face was clearing up.

"NEVER?!!" he asked with dismay. She lowered her head again, he was just so loud. "I'll be darned! I've never met one of you before." his comment made it seemed like she was some sort of alien.

"It's nothing to be shocked about. Guys just don't like me." she said in defense.

He covered his mouth and looked around at everyone that was staring at them. He leaned over the table as he blocked the side of his mouth and whispered to her "Are you a virgin?"

Her face was quickly turning red, "Don't tell me you've never met a virgin." she whispered back.

He leaned back on his seat and crossed his arms "Actually, I have." he thought about it as he leaned his elbow on the table "Joe was a virgin." he covered a giggle with his hand "So was Danny. And Chad was not a virgin once I was done with him."

Annie shook her head in dismay, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Well, Im gonna be an old maid and a virgin." she said with a tone of depressed.

He tilted his head thoughtfully "Of course not. I won't hear of it! You just need a little make over."

He was too much, just on the first day of meeting her and he was already trying to change her. "Trust me, nothing will help." she took the last bite of her sandwich and glanced at her watch. "OH!!" she pointed to it. "We're going to be late!!" she exclaimed as she reached for her purse.

"Oh please, Im still eating." he took a slow bite of his half eaten sandwich.

"Well, I gotta go. Thanks for lunch, I'll treat next time." she rushed out the door.

"Hey!!" he threw down his sandwich with a slight tantrum as he pulled out his wad of cash and threw it on the table. He quickly got up and ran after Annie.

The rest of the day went by quickly for Annie as she finished all of the twenty files on top of fetching whatever Miss Lai wanted her to. By the time she left for home, her desk was piled up with files again. Miss Lai had called her in at the last minute and gave her more stuff for the next day. She sighed tirelessly as she covered a yawn, exhausted from the first long day. She looked around for Jacky, but he was no where in sight. She began to wonder if he would be the only friend she would make in the company. Everyone seemed so busy with their own work.

Chapter 8

Annie's second day at work proved to be the same as the day before. Her boss asked her to get her dry cleaning on her lunch hour. Annie wasn't use to standing up for herself, so she agreed. That morning she was busy working and didn't remember to tell Jacky that she couldn't make it to lunch that day. When time came, he skipped over to her desk "Hey, Ann...ready to go?"

"Oh shoot! Jacky Im sorry, I forgot to tell you. I have to go get Miss Lai's dry cleaning." she looked apologetically at her new friend.

"What?! What are you, her maid now? Well, I'll see about that!" he pulled a little note pad on the pocket of his slacks and began to scribble something down.

"What are you doing?" she asked as she got up from her seat and leaned over his hands.

He was quick to hide it as he put up a finger and wagged it at her "Uh uh, its not for you to see. Its my own personal notes."

She smiled and shrugged her shoulders "Suit yourself. Im gonna have to take a raincheck on the lunch."

"You're loss." he smiled as he walked off.

The dry cleaning place was further than she expected. It took more than half of her lunch time. Annie ended up returning to the office with an empty stomach since she didn't have time to get any food. She got back ten minutes before 1 and decided to raid the snack machine in the office's kitchen. She shook her change purse for money as she bought a bag of cheetos and two snickers, her favorite.

She reached down the opening of the machine to get her snackes when Jacky's voice screeched from behind her "What's this??!!" he walked over to her with a shocked face "Do you know how much fat is in this?" he yanked the cheetos from her hands "And this??" he pointed to the snickers and was gonna take them too but Annie pulled them behind her back. "I mean how fat are we going to get??"

She looked offended as she glanced at herself from her foot to her chest. There was not an inch of fat on her, what was he talking about? "There are 20 grams of fat and I love to eat them." she pulled the cheetos bag that he began to open back into the safety of her hands. He got a hold of one cheeto and was chomping on it.

"Well its not good for you." he said but smiled as he motioned her to follow him "Come on, I have half of an uneaten sandwich. You want it?"

She nodded her head eagerly "Im starving. Thanks, Jacky." they walked over to his desk and he handed her a brown bag, she riped it open and pulled out a wrapped sandwich. When she unwrapped it, there was a strange odor that came from it. "What is it?" she wrinkled her nose.

"Liverwurst." she dropped the sandwich to the ground like it was scalding hot "Hey!" he bent over to pick it up "Its good for the skin, see?" he leaned in close to her face to show her his flawless skin.

"Well it smells like dog food." she said with disgust. "I'll just have my snacks." Annie began to return to her desk when he stopped her again.

When she turned to face him, he looked around carefully as he leaned in to her "Annie, do you need help?" he seemed so secretive.

She gave him a puzzled look "Besides mental help..." she joked.

"No..no...I mean, you need a dietician?"

"A what?!" she's never even heard of the word.

"You know, the person that helps you with diets and stuff. I've seen you snacking all day today. Its not healthy for you." he said almost with concern. He was bored most of the day and he had nothing else to do but study the people.

She laughed, that was ridiculous. According to doctors, she was underweight compared to the people her height. Its a fact that she wears thick clothes everyday, but surely she didn't look fat?? "That's absurd!"

He covered his mouth with a delicate hand "Oh my gosh, she's delirious." his voice was melodramatic.

She laughed harder as she held onto her stomach "Stop, I can't laugh anymore."

"You want to go to my shrink?" he asked with exaggerated concern.

She was laughing hysterically at his comment when her boss walked in from her lunch "Ahem!" The two stopped and turned to Miss Lai, who tapped at her watch "This is business hour!" she warned.

Annie nodded apologetically as her boss returned to her office, the door shutting tight. "Yeah, go back to your cage." Jacky muttered sarcastically.

Annie muffled a laugh "Oh, you're too much. Thanks for the laughs, Jacky." she shook her head, still thinking about his comments.

He crossed his arms and arched his neck "I wasn't kidding. Hmph!" he spun around and walked back to the kitchen to toss the dirty sandwich.

For the rest of the day, every so often, Jacky would come over to ask what she was doing. Annie began to wonder if he even had any work to do. His desk was empty and he was always writing in that little notebook of his. She found it almost odd, but made a mental note to ask him once she got to know him better. She figured it wouldn't be long, with his open personality, it was easy to talk to him.

By the end of the day, she was excited to start her new architectural classes. It was every Tuesday and Thursdays. She would have to take an exam and the course was for 6 months. She finally saved enough money and was determined to make this dream come true. She bentd herself under her desk to reach for her purse that she threw too deep under her desk. "Annie!" his high pitched voice startled her as she jumped and bumped her head under the table.

"Ow!" she cried out, touching her head as she pushed herself from under the desk. Rubbing the sore bump as she looked up at Jacky, her hair falling all over her face.

"Oh my gosh, don't you ever comb your hair??" he waved his hand when she opened her mouth about to defend herself "Nevermind, you going to dinner?"

"No, I can't, I have classes." she quickly told him about her plan.

"Well, good for you!" he patted her on the arm "Hey, you got chapstick or lipstick?"

She smiled as she dug into her her purse for her strawberry chapstick. "Your lips dry?" she found it and handed it to him.

"Oh no, got a special dinner date tonight." a twinkle in his eye as he said it.

"Then why did you ask me to dinner?" she looked confused.

He rolled his eyes and let out a exasperated sigh "I didn't ASK you to dinner, I asked if you were going to dinner."

She laughed as she nodded "Boyfriend?" she teased.

"I don't think thats any of your business!" he said with hostile defense. "Gosh, Annie, you're sure straightforward for a person that I just met for the second day."

She dropped her jaw "You asked me if I was a virgin on the first day we met!!!" she exclaimed. Her comment was so loud that a few of the late workers glanced at her oddly. She blushed lightly and lowered her head.

He giggled "Well, you don't have to announce it to the world, Miss I've Never Touched a Man...." he glanced at his watch, ignoring her evil glare "Im gonna be late." he waved goodbye as he rushed to the elevator.

Annie packed up the rest of her stuff and left the office a few minutes after five. She made it to her class on time, the teacher was a very well know architect. She was so interested in the class, that even when it ended at 10pm, she was the last to leave the room. She chatted with the teacher for a few minutes before leaving for her home.

**********

Jacky decided to bother Tia when he called her and she told him that Johnny wasn't home. She was dressed in star print pajamas when she opened the door. She had a spoonful of icecream in her mouth. Tia didn't seem to notice his depressed face as she returned to her comfortable couch "Close the door." she mumbled through bites.

Suddenly, she heard a thump and spun around, he was sprawled out on the ground. When she realized he was just exaggerating, she sat down. He looked up and gave her a glare "What if I really fainted? Would you just sit there?!"

She laughed "If you fainted, I'd call the police to take the dirty gay guy out of my apartment."

"Women are evil." he got up and closed the door. He slumped on the couch next to Tia "OHHH!" he groaned.

She furrowed her eyebrows "Stop it! You sound like a cat in heat! My neighbors will complain."

"OHHHHHHH!!!!" he groaned even louder.

She dropped her icecream on the table and crossed her legs on the couch while she turned to him. Giving him her full attention "Now what?" she knew he just wanted to talk.

"Help me, Tia. Im dying." he said dramatically.

"That's all?" she asked nochalantly as she reached for the phone "I'll call the mortuary. You like white daisies don't you?"

"White roses." she laughed at his response "I can't go back Tia, they'll drive me crazy. If it wasn't for the new girl, I would die."

Her eyes widened with interest "Ohh...nothing like a beautiful new girl to keep your manlihood alive huh?" she reached for her ice cream again, but he yanked it out of her hand. He took a spoonful and shoved it in his mouth.

He swallowed it whole and winced in pain as the brain-freeze took over. After the pain was gone, he sighed with relief "That felt soooo good."

Tia took her ice cream back as she gave him a funny look "You're strange, you know that?"

"Actually, she's not very pretty." Tia arched her eyebrows, surprised that he would befriend someone not good looking. He was always after the pretty girls although she's never seen him mistreat a not so attractive girl. "But she's the first person that wanted to talk to me. Then again, maybe its because no one would talk to her?"

"Well, she must not be that bad if she wants to talk to a gay guy?" she offered.

He looked thoughtful "That's true."

She smiled at her friend "Does Jacky have a little crush?"

He laughed "After two days? I call that infactuation. But I have to admit, she's quite cute when she gets mad." he found himself trying to get her upset, Annie's cheeks blazed so adorably when she was mad.

Tia laughed as she pointed at him "I think you're in love!!" she teased.

He hit her playfully on the arm "That's ridiculous, Im gay." he joked.

She bounced from her seat as she shook her head vehemently "Nope! I've known you most of my life and Im positive you are in love!" she began to chant "Jacky's in love...Jacky's in love..." suddenly she stopped and turned to him "What's her name?"

He snickered "Hmph! Like Im gonna tell you. And for the last time, I am NOT in love with anyone."

She shrugged her shoulders and reached for her melting icecream and returned it to the freezer. They chatted about stuff for the rest of the night but every once in a while he would mention the 'girl' and it made Tia start chanting again. He rolled his eyes as he took the couch pillows and jammed it to the side of his head to block out the annoying chant.

Chapter 9

A month had quickly passed for Annie, she was getting use to the terms used in the architectural business. She was actual a natural at the work, she soon figured out the blue prints that her boss often had her make copies when she had meetings to go to. Never once did Miss Lai take Annie along, eventhough she was her assistant. Annie didn't mind at all, she felt it was better when Miss Lai was gone. She was able to look at the prints at her own leisure.

Her relationship with Jacky was progressing, he became her best friend in no time. They were able to talk to each other about anything and everything. He seemed to be more nosy lately, she had no idea why. But then again, Jacky was Jacky. Although queer at times, he was still a good friend that she could rely on.

It was close to lunch time when she checked the calendar for any appointments that she had coming up. She gasp when she found out the next day, she was to get her braces out. It was a good thing she asked for the day off already. She was smiling with relief because the day had finally came. Four dreadful years of being a metal mouth, it was horrifying for her at first because the pain was unbearable. Soon, she was so use to it that it barely bothered her.

"Ready for lunch?" Jacky's voice broke into her thoughts.

"Yeah." she picked up her purse and turned to him. Noticing that he seemed a little more down than usual. "What's wrong?"

He glanced at her, was he that easy to read? "Oh nothing, I got in a fight with my boyfriend."

She laughed "Over that one other guy you told me about?"

Jacky's face blanked over "What are you talking about?"

"The one you met at the bar?" she remembered he told her about the guy that flirted with him in the bar the other night.

He rolled his eyes "That was sooo yesterday!" he said as they entered the elevator. "No, I think he's cheating on me."

"How do you figure that? I mean, you're so cute!" she tried to bring up his self esteem.

"I know! That's what I don't understand. But lately, he comes home later and his shirt smells like cheap Este Lauder." he sighed.

"Well, don't worry too much about it. Hey, Im getting my braces off tomorrow." she tried to change the subject.

His eyes were dazing off again "Hmm." he answered without thinking. "What do you suppose is wrong with me?" he asked. They walked down the street to the cafe shop where they had their first lunch.

Annie shrugged her shoulders "I don't know, Jacky."

Suddenly, he pulled at one guy that walked by "What's wrong with me?" he asked the stranger.

The guy looked surprised as he pulled away from Jacky "Crazy." he mumbled as he walked on his way.

Annie shook her head as she reached to pull at Jacky's arm "Come on Missy, you're scaring people." she scolded.

He pulled away from her grasp and straighted his collar shirt "Don't do that, they might think we're together!" he whispered loudly as he looked around to see if anyone was paying attention.

"I doubt they'll think we're together." she said knowingly as they entered the deli. After they ordered, she saw Jacky gazing at the waiter. She laughed as she tapped the table to get his attention "Jacky!" she yelled after he didn't blink. "What is wrong with you?"

"Nothing, Im perfect." he said it confidently. Suddenly his face lit up "Hey, you want a boyfriend? I know a straight guy that would be perfect for you."

She laughed "I thought you said you don't talk to straight guys because you don't want to turn them gay with your charms?"

He shook his head "Well, he's the only straight guy that I know. So do you or don't you?" he seemed eager to play matchmaker.

Annie pulled away the annoying strand of hair that was tickling her forehead. "I told you, Im going to die an old maid."

"And I said, not if Im around. Come on it'll be fun. Well, if you want, you guys can start talking on the phone and stuff."

She looked reluctant "I don't know Jacky, I have the worse luck when it comes to men. I mean, does your friend mind that I look like this?" she pointed at her face and clothes.

"Oh, he's blind. He wouldn't care."

"Jacky!! That's horrible!" she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Suddenly he started laughing, she raised her eyebrows "That was a mean thing to joke about."

He put his elbows on the table and rested his chin on his palms "Well, to be honest, he doesn't care about what women look like. He goes for that wholesome girl personality."

Annie nodded slowly "Well, let me sleep on it."

Jacky dropped his elbows "After you sleep on it, he'll already be taken, I told him to save a thought for my special friend."

She giggled "Im your special friend? Since when?"

"Since you agreed to let me do a makeover for you." the food came and he quickly devoured it.

She put up her hands "Wait a minute. Im gonna let you do a what?"

He swallowed the mouthful of food "Do you need a hearing aide now, grandma??" it was a nickname he often referred to her as. She wore glasses that slipped to the middle of her nose and her clothes were flowered prints, they were bigger than they should be.

She flinched at his remark, she hated being called a 'grandma'. She actually went through high school being called just that. It was almost a traumatizing time for her, but because it was Jacky, she would let the remark slide. She once got upset at Tia for calling her that. Althought lately, she found it quite annoying.

"As I was saying, you promised to let me do a makeover. Not alot of people have the pleasure of Jacky's magical hands." he winked at her with a mysterious aura.

She leered at him "I never promised you any such!"

"Sure you did, it was a week ago, when we were eating dinner and you said "If I don't get a boyfriend in a week, then I'll let you give me a makeover." Your exact words!"

"I did?" she wrinkled her forehead "I don't remember anything." She remembered, they had a few glass of wine, but surely she wasn't drunk enough to not remember such an important conversation.

"Well, Im holding you up on your words." he finished.

"You didn't even give me a chance to find a boyfriend." she argued, there was no way she was letting him change her looks. She was comfortable with herself.

He dropped his sandwich on the plate "Okay. How about this? We go to a club and if you can't get a guy then I get to change you."

She looked thoughtful for a minute before replying "Alright, deal." she wasn't too confident about snatching a guy but she figured there would be drunken idiots there that would hit on anyone that looked like girls. Being that she went to a club one time with Tia. Suddenly she remembered, she wanted to introduce him to her friend. Tia would have a kick out of Jacky. "Hey, you've got to meet my friend."

"Is she a girl?" he arched his eyebrows suspiciously.

She nodded "Yeah, she's great, her name is..."

He cut her off "No, Im not interested. Girls are so...how would you say..." he waved his fork in the air "competative. If I met your friend, she might start comparing herself to me and stuff. I just don't want to hurt anyone's feelings."

"But she's not like that." her smile still visible.

He shook his head "NO!" he stomped his foot on the ground, throwing a tantrum "I don't want to! Don't make me!"

She laughed as she held up her hands "Alright alright." she was about to eat her sandwich when she stopped and looked up at him "Hey, Im a girl." remember his comment earlier.

"Yeah right!" he snickered as he continued with his salad. "You are no girl. You're a grandma." he laughed at his joke while she snarled at him.

They returned to work after lunch, her work seemed to pile up again. She sighed as she began working, at least it was Thursday. Which means her class was that night, she was quick at being the top students of the class. Some of the other classmates would often ask her for help. The people were fairly friendly to her and it was the main reason why she enjoyed the class alot.

The next day, she came in a little later to work because of her dentist appointment. Her braces were taken off, she immediatly felt lighter. The dentist gave her a good cleaning before she left. Her mouth seemed more free and not like it was tied together.

Jacky immediately spotted her strolling in around 1pm. He rushed over to her, he was wondering if she was sick or something "Where'd you go?"

She turned around "I told you yesterday." she was casual as she sat down at her seat and started to type away.

"You did?" he put his arms on his hips "Don't pull a Jacky on me, I invented it." he thought she was teasing him.

Annie laughed "I would never try to pull a fast one on you."

"Wait a minute!" he put up his hands to freeze her "What's this?" he leaned in closer to her face, using his fingers he pried her mouth open. He gasp and covered his mouth "You got them off!" he exclaimed.

Annie looked around embarrassed by his outburst "I told you yesterday." she said through clenched teeth.

"You did not!!" he claimed. "Hey, that's not fair. No cheating!! You can't clean yourself up like that."

She immediately understood what he meant. "Well, you never said that I couldn't make myself presentable when we go to the club."

"Why you sneaky little...OHH!!" he yelled angrily before returning to his desk. She laughed to herself as she got back to work.
