Me and My Angel's Angel

My baby was born too soon to a world of tubes and bright lights.
But my angel in the NICU helped me through many sleepless nights.
My angel was a nurse whose loving hands took great care,
Of my darling little baby all the hours I wasn't there.
As my baby struggled for life, our angel comforted me too.
It was her kindness and compassion that really got me through.
She kept me updated on my baby's condition each step of the way.
Even when it was apparent that the angels would soon take my baby away.
She shared my pain and loved my baby as if it were her own.
Our angel in the NICU was the most special person I've ever known.
And when the angels came and my baby went away.
We held "our" baby together and formed a lifelong bond that day.
My baby is safe in Heaven now and I truly believe some day.
We will all be together again and for that I'll always pray.
Thank you our dearest angel, my baby's nurse and my dear friend.
I thank God for you, the shining star to us that God did send.
