Carry Me Jesus

Dear Jesus I have come a long, long way today. And if You don't mind Jesus, I've grown tired along the way. So would you carry me Jesus, I'm not a heavy load. I know that in Your arms I won't be scared or cold.
Please carry me Jesus, I'm so glad that you await. Won't you please carry me Jesus, through Heaven's golden gate? Oh! I love your smile, it's everything I thought it'd be. Please come closer Jesus, in Your arms I want to be.
Without hesitation Jesus carried my sweet child that day. Smiling down on my angel, in His warm, loving way. He said to my angel "my child your journey is now through." "And it would be my greatest honor to be able to carry you."
With my angel in His arms, His face lit with a smile. Jesus carried my angel to Heaven that final mile. And as He set my angel down, He heard another sweet voice say..." "Won't you please carry me Jesus, I've grown tired along the way."
