 Christmas with Christopher

Christmas with Christopher
Christmas Eve finds Christopher happy and excited.
He knows Santa comes tonight and he is so delighted!
His fuzzy red stocking is hung at the top of his bed.
And right now he is becoming quite a sleepy head.
Christopher is thinking if he acts like he's asleep.
That maybe at Santa Claus, he will get a peep.
But try as hard as he can, his little eyes closed tight.
Soon he is in slumber through the long winter's night.
Christmas morning Christopher awakens and looks around.
Santa Claus has been there, though he didn't hear a sound!
His stocking is stuffed with lots of candy and little toys.
And a note from Santa saying "To Christopher, one of my good boys!"
He rushes to the Christmas tree, his heart all aglow.
Tears open packages of Legos and Legos after Legos!
They're just what he wanted and he is full of glee.
He calls out to his angel friends "come and play with me!"
Hours upon hours of building all kinds of neat things.
Christopher is so happy, his precious sweet heart sings.
Later on there is a party followed then by evening prayer.
Christopher praying:"Dear God, please keep my Mom and Dad near."
He always thinks of them and later asleep in the dark.
Christopher in Heaven thinks of siblings Rachel and Mark.
Christmas in Heaven is celebrated by Christopher every year.
Santa Claus and happy times have all followed him here.
So as you celebrate Christmas, remember Christopher too.
Keep him in your thoughts and prayers as I always do.
His star can't be extinguished, it continues to shine bright.
God bless you Christopher in our hearts though you are gone from sight.
