more as each day passes by
i ache so bad inside my heart
at times i sit and cry
Distance, time, and committments
seperate us you see
and what i long for in my heart
i know can never be
i try to tell myself
the feelings i can hide
not let anyone know
and keep them locked inside.
but in doing so
i lose a part of me
my heart begins to die
never to be free.
I need your arms around me
to feel that special love
to feel safe and protected
a true gift from above.
but reality sets in
much to soon it seems
and i open my eyes and realize
i can only have you in my dreams.
as the tears began to flow
at what can never be
i close my eyes, and whisper
