The lion roars and shakes his mane -
The month of March is here again.
With chilling wind and driving rain
He blusters o'er the whole domain.
With gnashing teeth and lashing tail
He reveals in a wintery gale.
An angry beaste, on mischief bent,
He storms around till his rage is spent.
Then quietly he slips away
And April's lambs come out to play.
March's birthstone is aquamarine.
