Carol McIntyre was celebrating her 10th Birthday on December 31st, 1972. Suddenly, her mother said,"Carol, I'm going to the hospital and I'm gonna bring you back a present!" That "present" was Carol's new brother, Joseph Mulrey McIntyre. By the time he was three years old, he was singing along with Frank Sinatra tunes. Joey McIntyre made his stage debut at the "Footlight Club" theater in 1981. Suddenly, his audience wouldn't stop applauding and from then on, he knew what he wanted to do.

In 1984 Joey auditioned for Boston's most successful act. New Kids On The Block. Joey received lead vocals on,"Popsicle","I Remember When","Angel","Treat Me Right","Please Don't Go Girl",and,"Where Do I Go From Here?"

It was 1994 and the youngest New Kid had met his worst
fear, he was "old" news. His last recordings with the
group included,"Mrs. Right"and,"I'll Still Be Loving You".
