In March of 1999 former New Kid On The Block, Joey McIntyre released his solo debut on the group's former record company, Columbia Records! That year he smashed the charts with his inspirational song,"Stay The Same". Success didn't stop there, he had a music video in a diner that stayed on MTV's "TRL!" Soon, his album sales went 67 percent, after hosting the show. Joey has guest hosted "TRL" more than anyone to date!

Joey decided to share his new music with the entire world! He set out on the "Stay The Same" tour. In October of 1999 he opened for pop sensation, , Britney Spears on a televised concert series! Tracks included were hits from his debut album!

Since then, Joey has recorded music for Donnie Wahlberg's (another former New Kid) movie,"Southie". On May 15, 2001, Joey released his second solo album titled,"Meet Joe Mac".
