Florence Morris’ Reception

All Hearts Come Home for Christmas was the theme for the luncheon held to honor Florence Morris, Ambassador to New York; Nancy Jo Tutino, Chairman of the Ritual Committee for the General Grand Chapter; and Chuck King, Ambassador to Aruba.

The afternoon’s events were held at the SeaTac Hilton Hotel on a blustery, chilly, Sunda afternoon.

Those who arrived a little early for the luncheon were treated to a teen choir from California who was leaving to go home and stopped for a few moments to sing for us.

The facilities are new and the dining room was beautifully decorated with snowmen at each place and Christmas trees on each table.

The lunch consisted of rolls, salad with a choice of spicy Dijon or Red Pepper salad dressing, fish, broccoli and roasted potatoes.  Dessert was a wonderful chocolate cake with raspberry sauce.

We sang a few Christmas carols to get us in the holiday spirit. An update was given on the baseball game and then we moved onto short speeches by each of the honored guests.

Presentations and gifts were made to the honored guests.  Florence was presented with a heart pin from the Chapter to remind her that she has stolen our hearts.
