"Hey what's wrong?" Nick asked Jessica, glancing at her from out of the corner of his eye. It was Christmas Eve and they were on their way to his house for Christmas.
"It's nothing,"Jessica said looking down.
"Oh come on, tell me,"Nick pleaded.
"Ok, well I feel bad about not going home for Christmas. This is the first time ever that I haven't been with my family for the holidays. I won't even be there for New Years,"Jessica explained sadly, her voice filled with guilt.
"I told you you didn't have to come,"Nick said.
"I know you did, and I know that you haven't been home for Christmas in 2 years, and I wanted to be with you,"Jessica said,"I'm not complaining or anything about being with you or your family. I love your family."
"I know. There's nothing like being with your own family for the holidays. Do you want me to take you to your house?"Nick asked.
"No don't be ridiculous. You know I already planned to spend the three days at my house after Christmas. You're still going to come right?"
"Of course I am,"Nick said. "So you're ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine. I'm looking forward to seeing your family again. It's been a while,"Jessica said giving Nick a reassuring smile. He smiled back and turned on the radio.
A while later they were standing outside the Carter household, holding their luggage.
"Are you ready to get attacked?" Nick joked.
"I always come ready,"Jessica said as Nick opened the door to his house.
"HONEY I'M HOME!" Nick yelled, playfully
"NICKKKKKKKK!" came 4 yells and then 4 pairs of feet stomping down the stairs. Aaron was the first one to reach him and he jumped into his arms.
"Hey Air Boy, how's my man doing?" Nick smiled.
"We missed you so much!!!"Aaron yelled giving Nick a huge hug. A pair of arms rapped around Nick's waist.
"Hey Angel...Les come give me a hug, you too Beej,"Nick said and hugged his sisters. "Guys you all know Jessica, my girlfriend."
Aaron jumped into her arms too,"Jess, you're so pretty. I'm glad you're staying with us. Can you dump him and be my girlfriend?"
"Hey! Stop trying to pick up my girl!"Nick said.
"It's good to see you again Aaron, I think you're cute too, but maybe we should be just friends ok?"
Aaron sighed,"Ok."
"Hey Jess, we missed you,"Leslie said giving Jessica a hug, followed by Angel.
"I missed you guys too,"Jessica replied."Hey BJ."
"Hey!" BJ said and gave Jessica a big hug.
"Nick it's so good to have you home!" Jane Carter said coming into the hallway where everyone was gathered. "It's good to see you again Jessica."
"You too Mrs.Carter,"Jessica said sincerely giving the woman a hug.
"Hi Mom,"Nick said and gave his mom and dad a hug.
"It's good to see you again. You too Jessica,"Bob Carter said.
"It's good to see everyone again,"Jessica replied.
"Let me go get you settled Jessica,"Mrs.Carter said, taking one of her suitcases. Nick followed them up.
"Hey Mom she can stay in my room,"Nick said hopefully.
Mrs.Carter turned around and looked at her son,"I don't think so Nick." Once they were up the stairs, Mrs. Carter brought Jessica to the guestroom. "Make yourself at home Jess."
"Thank you," she said and put her bags down. Nick put his arm around her waist, pulling her close to him.
"I'll just sneak in here at night,"Nick whispered in her ear with a huge grin on his face.
"We can't do that, you sexaholic,"Jessica whispered back, shoving his 6'1 frame lightly.
"No need to get violent,"Nick said defensively. After Mrs.Carter went back downstairs, Nick closed the door and pushed her lightly onto the bed. His body came down on hers and he crushed her lips with his. Jessica turned over so she was ontop of him and sat up, straddling him.

"No I'm not gonna ride you Nick. "Good,"Jessica said getting off of him. "Now we're going downstairs."
"YES DRILL SARGENT! GOING DRILL SARGENT!"Nick saluted, following Jessica out of the room who was rolling her eyes at him.
"So Jessica, you were a great dancer, are you still doing it?" Mr.Carter asked Jessica at dinner time.
"Yeah I love to dance. I don't take lessons anymore though. In the future, I'd really like to start my own dance company. Ballet, tap, jazz, modern, everything,"Jessica explained. Nick frowned, Jessica had never told him this dream of hers.
"You never told me that,"he said.
"You never asked,"Jessica shrugged,simply.
"I think that's wonderful Jessica. You should definately persue that,"Mrs.Carter said nodding with approval.
"How long have you been dancing?" BJ asked.
"Well...I took lessons ever since I was about 3 and I stopped when I was 17, so I took lessons for 14 years. I'm thinking about going to college and majoring in dance,"Jessica said.
"Or you can just move in with me and we can get married and have a bunch of little Nicks,"Nick said, half joking.
"Maybe many years into the future,"Jessica said giving him a weird look.
"MANY MANY years into the future,"Mrs.Carter smiled. "I'm too young for grandchildren."
"Ok lets just change the subject,"Jessica said, blushing and looking embarrassed.
"So how's touring going?"Leslie asked.
"Tiring, but good. It's fun,"Nick shrugged."How's things going, Aaron?"
"Fun, Mom's been taking me to auditions and stuff. We've been busy," Aaron said, stuffing a forkful of food into his mouth.
"Jess, are you asleep?" Nick whispered, coming into the guestroom at night, closing the door.
"Nick what did we talk about?" Jessica said, feeling his body climb into bed with her.
"I just wanna talk and sleep. That's it, I swear,"Nick said. Jessica rolled over to look at him. He seemed sincere so she gave in.
"Ok you can stay,"she said.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah."
"Are you sure you love me? Really love me?"
"Why would you ask me something like that?"
"Just answer it Jess."
"Yes Nick, I'm sure I really love you. Now tell me why you asked me that."
"Coz when I started talking about the future, our future, you gave me this weird look and you looked embarrassed."
"Well Nick we were in front of your family, and we're 18 for crying out loud. I love you, but that's not the kind of thing you talk about in front of your family unless we're engaged and in our 20's. Which we're not."
"Ok, yeah I get it."
"You're not pissed off at me are you?"
"No."
"Good,"Jessica said, kissing his shoulder and then his neck.
Nick smiled,"I thought you said-"
"I know what I said. We don't have to make love. That'd be weird in your parents' house wouldn't it?" Jessica said, running her hands down his body.
"Yeah, that's why you need to stop touching me like that,"Nick groaned, closing his.
"But you don't want me to, do you Nicky?"
"No."

Jessica's blue eyes fluttered open when she felt someone jumping on her bed. She squinted her eyes and saw Aaron.
"You're up!" he exclaimed.
Jessica smiled weakly,"Yeah I'm up."
"It's Christmas morning! Santa came,"he said but then lowered his voice,"Actually, it was mom and dad, but whatever."
Jessica smiled then hugged the little boy,"Merry Christmas Aaron."
"Merry Christmas Jess!!"
"Is Nick up?"
"Nope you wanna go wake him up?"
Jessica glanced at the clock. It was 8:30 and she figured the kids couldn't hold out much longer with the presents she she agreed,"Yeah let's go wake him up."
Together, they walked through the hallway and pushed open the door to Nick's room. He was sound asleep with his mouth hanging open.
"How attractive,"Jessica said, rolling her eyes. Her and Aaron walked over to the bed and Aaron started jumping on it.

"Merry Christmas,"she said.
Aaron ran ahead and then down the stairs yelling,"They're up!"
"So, you were having hot dreams about me last night,"Jessica grinned.
"How did you know?" Nick asked his eyes widening.

"OH GOD! I said that out loud?! Did Aaron hear me?"Nick panicked.
"I don't think so. He would've said something if he did. He did see you stick your tongue down my throat though,"Jessica teased as they walked down the stairs.

After they were downstairs they heard Aaron saying, "And then they KISSED. And his tongue was in her mouth!!"
Nick slapped his hand against his face lightly,"GOOD MORNING!"
Aaron jumped and giggled nervously,"Hi Nick."
"I'm gonna get you!" Nick threatened playfully.
"NO! Mom!" Aaron said, hiding behind his mother.
Mrs.Carter rolled her eyes,"Merry Christmas you two."
After that, they went through the hugs and all the 'Merry Christmas's. Then all the children ran into the living room where tons of presents were stacked neatly under the tree. They tore opened all the gifts and were done in a matter of minute. The house was so hectic. Mrs. Carter was snapping pictures and the children were tearing open the gifts. After they were done, they were all sitting there, opening boxes and playing with toys.
"Nick we have some things for you and Jessica,"Mr.Carter said, pulling out a few presents.
"Oh you didn't have to do that,"Jessica said.
"Of course we did,"Mrs.Carter said handing a box to Jessica.
She took it and carefully opened it. Inside was a beautiful hunter green Chanel shirt. "Oh it's beautiful! Thank you so much!" She gave Mr. and Mrs. Carter hugs.
"We're glad you like it,"Mrs.Carter said then handing Nick a box.
Nick took it and opened it quickly to find an expensive watch.
"Since you'er never on time, we figured you could use one,"Mr.Carter joked.
Nick smiled. "Thanks." He got up and gave his parents hugs then sat back down next to Jessica. "We got some things for you too."
Nick went upstairs and came back a minute later with a big shopping back. He handed BJ, Leslie, Angel, and Aaron their gifts, and then he gave his parents their gift. They opened it to find a large crystal Lenox serving bowl and a smaller one inside of the larger one.
"Wow these are great, let me guess Jessica picked them out,"Mrs.Carter said with a smile.
"Actually she did,"Nick said sheepishly. "But we both paid for it."
"Thank you. They're gorgeous," Mrs.Carter said.
"I have something for you Jess,"Nick said pulling a small, neatly wrapped jewelry box out the bag.
Jessica smile and opened the present. She opened the black velvet box to find a platinum ring with two hearts intertwining. In one heart it said Jessica and it the other heart it said Nick.
"It's a promise ring,"Nick said shyly.
"Oh god Nick it's incredible.Thank you so much!" Jessica exclaimed as Nick slipped the ring on her ring finger.
"Perfect,"he said and smiled.
"Let me get your present out,"she said and pulled a bag out of the shopping bag. Inside the smaller bag was a box. She handed it to him. He took it and unwrapped it. He lifted out a solid white gold chain.
"I love it, thanks Jess,"he kissed her lips softly and put the chain on. "Merry Christmas baby."
"Merry Christmas Nicky,"she whispered and leaned in to meet his lips.
"EWWW!" came an obnoxious yell from Aaron. "They're doing it again Mom!"
Nick smiled against Jessica's lips as Mrs.Carter told him to be quiet. "I love you."
"I love you too,"Jessica replied, pure love filling her blue eyes.
