What is the 1959 claim to fame of monkeys Able and Miss Baker?
They were the first living beings to successfully return to Earth from a journey in outer space. Upon their return, Able died four days later due to anesthesia complications. Miss Baker lived until 1984 and the age of 27. A previous trip, in 1948 with a monkey names Albert, was unsuccesful and he suffocated during the flight.
