Answer for 3/19:
 
When Buck Rogers first appeared in two issues of Amazing Stories, in 1928 and 1929, he had a different first name. When he made the transition to newspaper comic strip character, he was given the nickname "Buck", but what was his original first name?
 
Anthony Rogers. In the 1979-81 television series, his name was changed to William Anthony "Buck" Rogers. A new web series is in production, with a young actor playing a renamed-once-again Lucas "Buck" Rogers. Gil Gerard and Erin Grey, Buck and Wilma from the late 70s TV series, will appear in the first episode as Buck's parents.
