Oldest tree, at least in the United States. The Great Basin Bristlecone Pine is about 4,839 years old. Prometheus was more than 4,844 years old when it was cut down. The exact location of Methuselah is kept secret to avoid vandalism.

Their names were never mentioned in the entire run of the strip. They were known simply as "Mom" and "Dad", or "Hon" and "Dear" to each other. Bill Watterson didn't give them names, as they were simply in the comic to be Calvin's parents.

Chuck Connors. He jumped and smashed the glass backboard at the first Boston Celtics game, November 5, 1946. Connors also blayed with the baseball teams the Dodgers and the Cubs, and went on to fame in movies and TV, starring as Lucas McCain on "The Rifleman".
