Amelia Earhart. The book, called "Amelia Earhart Lives," was immediately refuted by Mrs. Bolam. She sued for $1.5 million in damages, and an out-of-court settlement was reached. Researchers documented her life, proving she wasn't Earhart, and National Geographic recently hired a forensic specialist to examine photos of both women and he, too, proved they were different.

In theory, the image would reproduce infinitely, were it not for the loss of resolution due to the printing process. The phenomenon is named after a 1904 package of Droste brand cocoa.
